Amaç: Bu araştırmada ergenlerde bilişsel odaklı psikoeğitim programının kaygı düzeyi ve bilişsel hatalara etkisini incelemek ve koruyucu ruh sağlığı hizmetinin öneminin ortaya konulması amaçlanmıştır. Gereç ve Yöntem: Program, bilişsel-davranışçı yaklaşıma göre 6 seans, plasebo grubu için yapılan eğitimse 3 seans olarak düzenlenmiştir. Çalışma için İstanbul İl Milli Eğitim Müdürlüğü’nden izin alınarak Şişli’deki iki okuldan 416 öğrenciye tarama testleri uygulanmıştır. Taramada Çocuklar için Olumsuz Bilişsel Hatalar Ölçeği (ÇOBHÖ) ve Beck Anksiyete Ölçeği (BAÖ) kullanılmıştır. Psikoeğitim programının kaygı düzeyi ve bilişsel hatalara etkisini değerlendirmek amacıyla öntest ve sontestte BAÖ ve ÇOBHÖ kullanılmıştır. Grupların kaygı ve bilişsel hata düzeyini karşılaştırmak için 3x2 tekrarlı ölçümler için varyans analizi ve çoklu karşılaştırmalar için Tukey testi yapılmıştır. Bulgular: Deney grubunda, kontrol ve plasebo grubuna göre kaygı ve bilişsel hata düzeyinde anlamlı olarak azalma görülmüş (p0,05). Sonuç: Psikoeğitim programının ergenlerde kaygı ve bilişsel hatayı azaltmada etkili olduğu gösterilmiş ve programın koruyucu ruh sağlığı açından önemi saptanmıştır. Çocuk ve ergenlerde anksiyete ile bilişsel hata arasındaki ilişkiler konusunda yapılacak kapsamlı deneysel çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır

Objectives: This study aimed to evaluate the effects of cognitive focused psychoeducation program on anxiety levels and cognitive errors of adolescents and to underline the importance of preventive mental health services. Materials and Methods: Psychoeducational program was designed in the light of cognitive-behavioral approach. It included 6 educational sessions, while placebo group comprised 3 sessions. For the study, screening tests were applied to 416 students from two schools in Sisli, with the permission of the Istanbul Provincial Directorate of National Education. The Children’s Negative Cognitive Errors Questionnaire (CNCEQ) and Beck Anxiety Inventory (BAI) were used in screening. BAI and CNCEQ scores were used in pretest and posttest. For comparison of the anxiety levels and cognitive error levels of three groups, 3x2 repeated measure of variance analysis and Tukey test were applied.
