Araştırmada nitel araştırma yöntemi olan, Gömülü Teori kullanılmıştır. Araştırma, Gömülü Teori içinde yer alan Yapı- landırmacı desenle ele alınmaktadır.

The aim of this study is to examine the effect of poetry therapy focused responsibility education program on the development of individual and social responsibilities of adolescents. In this study, the quasi-experimental control group pretest–posttest model, one of the experimental models of the quantitative approach, was used. The study group of the research consists of a total of 16 secondary school students, 8 of which are in the control group and 8 in the experimental group, studying in the public school in Erenler district of Sakarya in the 2020-2021 academic year. “Personal and Social Responsibility Scale” was used in the research, and the scale was applied to the experimental and control groups as a pre-test/post-test before and after the application. The sessions of the poetry therapy fo- cused responsibility education program last between 60-90 minutes and it is a program consisting of 10 sessions in total. Non-parametric tests such as Mann Whitney U and Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test were used due to the low sample size in the analysis of the data. As a result of the research, the findings showed that there was a significant difference between the Personal and Social Responsibility Scale pretest and posttest scores of the participants in the experimental group in favor of the posttest. In addition, the findings showed that there was a significant diffe- rence between the experimental and control groups. In other words, it can be stated that the poetry therapy focused responsibility education program is effective on the development of adolescents’ individual and social responsibili- ties. The research findings were discussed in the light of the relevant literature.
