Borderline Kişilik Özellikleri Çocuk Ölçeği–Kısa FormununTürk Ergenlerinde Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Amaç: Bu çalışmada, Borderline Kişilik Özellikleri Çocuk ÖlçeğiKısa Formu (BKÖÇÖ-KF)’ nun Türk gençlerindeki geçerlik ve
güvenirliğinin incelenmesi amaçlanmaktadır.
Yöntem: Çalışma örneklemi 12-18 yaş aralığında klinik (N=168) ve
toplum (N=181) örnekleminden ergenlerle oluşturulmuştur. Tüm
katılımcılardan BKÖÇÖ-KF, Kişilik İnanç Ölçeği-Kısa Form (KİÖKF), Kısa Semptom Envanteri (KSE) ve DSM-5 Kişilik Envanteri-Kısa
Form (DKE-KF) doldurmaları istenmiştir. Ek olarak klinik grubundaki
katılımcılara Okul Çağı Çocukları İçin Duygulanım Bozuklukları
ve Şizofreni Görüşme Çizelgesi-Şimdi ve Yaşam Boyu Şekli Türkçe
Uyarlaması (ÇDŞG-ŞY-T) uygulanmış ve ebeveynlerinden Çocuklar
için Yaşam Kalitesi Ölçeği (ÇYKÖ) doldurmaları istenmiştir. Test-tekrar
test korelasyonu ve Cronbach α değerleri hesaplanmıştır.
Bulgular: BKÖÇÖ-KF puanları, her iki grupta KİÖ-KF borderline alt
öçeği, DKE-KF borderline ile ilişkili kişilik görünümleri ve KSE puanları
ile pozitif yönde ilişkili bulunmuştur. BKÖÇÖ-KF puanlarının klinik
grubunda ÇYKÖ ile negatif yönde ilişkili olduğu saptanmıştır. Ayrıca
klinik grubu BKÖÇÖ-KF toplam puanı toplum grubundan yüksek
bulunmuş ve ölçek klinik grubunda ÇDŞG- ŞY-T’ye göre toplam tanı
ve semptom sayısı ile pozitif yönde ilişkili bulunmuştur. BKÖÇÖKF’nin faktör analizinde; her iki grupta hem keşfedici hem çoklu grup
doğrulayıcı faktör analizi sonuçlarına göre tek faktörlü bir yapı elde
edilmiştir. BKÖÇÖ-KF’ nin Cronbach α değeri klinik grubunda 0,84,
toplum grubunda 0,79 bulunmuştur. Ölçeğin test-tekrar test korelasyon
katsayısı 0,71 olarak saptanmıştır.
Sonuç: BKÖÇÖ-KF’nin Türk ergenlerde geçerli ve güvenilir olduğu
saptanmıştır.
The Validity and Reliability of Borderline Personality FeaturesScale for Children-Short Form in Turkish Adolescents
Objective: This study has aimed to investigate the validity and reliability
of the Borderline Personality Features Scale for Children-Short Form
(BPFSC-SF-TR) in Turkish adolescents.
Method: The study was carried out with adolescents between the ages
of 12-18 from clinical (N=168) and community (N=181) backgrounds.
All participants were asked to complete the BPFSC-SF-TR, the
Personality Belief Questionaire - Short Form (PBQ-SF), the Brief
Symptom Inventory (BSI) and the Personality Inventory for DSM-5-
Short Form (PID-5-SF) scales. Also, the Kiddie Schedule for Affective
Disorders and Schizophrenia for School-Age Children-Present and
Lifetime Version-Turkish Version (K-SADS-PL-TR) was administered
to the participants in the clinical group and their parents were asked to
complete the Pediatric Quality of Life Inventory (PEDsQL). Test-retest
correlations and the Cronbach’s a coefficients were calculated.
Results: BPFSC-SF-TR scores of both groups of participants positively
correlated with the PBQ-BF borderline subscale, the PID-5-SF
borderline related facets and the BSI scores, and negatively correlated
with the PedsQL in the clinical group. Furthermore, the clinical group
had higher total BPFSC-SF-TR scores than the community group,
and their scores positively correlated with the number of diagnoses
and psychiatric symptoms determined by using the KSADS-PL-TR.
Exploratory and multi-group confirmatory factor analyses of the data of
both groups supported a single factor structure. The Cronbach’s a of the
scale was 0.84 in the clinical group, and 0.79 in the community group.
The test-retest reliability correlation coefficient of the scale was 0.71.
Conclusion: The BPFSC-SF-TR is a valid and reliable tool for Turkish
adolescents.
