Covid-19 Sürecinde Dijital Ebeveynlik İle Anne-Baba Stresi Arasında Yordayıcı İlişkiler

21. yüzyılda görülen dijital dönüşüm, ebeveynleri de bu değişim ve dönüşümle karşı karşıya getirmiştir. Ailelerin çocukları ile birlikte maruz kaldığı bu durum, dijital ebeveynliği öne çıkarmakla kalmamış, anne baba stres düzeylerini de etkilemiştir. Evden çıkmanın oldukça riskli kabul edildiği ve evde kalmanın özellikle tavsiye edildiği bu pandemi dönemi, aile bireyleri için çevrimiçi ortamlara daha fazla maruz kaldığı ve etkilendiği dönem olmuştur. Bu bağlamda araştırmanın amacı, Covid-19 sürecinde dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığıyla anne baba stresi arasındaki ilişkiyi, yordayıcılığı ve anne baba stresinin hangi değişkenlere göre farklılaştığını ortaya koymaktır. Bu araştırmada durum saptamaya dönük betimsel çalışma yapılmış olup anket-survey yöntemi kullanılmıştır. Veri toplamak için “Kişisel Bilgi ve Anket Formu”, “Dijital Ebeveynlik Farkındalık Ölçeği” ve “Anne Baba Stres Ölçeği” kullanılmıştır. Araştırmanın evrenini, Sakarya ilindeki ebeveynler oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmanın örneklemini ise random yöntemi ile seçilmiş yine aynı ilde yaşamakta olan 459 ebeveyn oluşturur. Elde edilen veriler SPSS Version 22.0 programı ile analiz edilmiştir. Tanımlayıcı istatistiksel parametrelerin (aritmetik ortalama, standart sapma, frekanslar) yanı sıra, bağımsız örneklem t-testi, tek yönlü varyans analizi (ANOVA), Pearson Momentler Çarpım Korelasyonu ve basit regresyon analizi kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonuçlarına göre ebeveynlerin stres düzeyleri ile Covid-19 sürecinde hissettikleri ekonomik kaygı ve en çok tercih edilen teknolojik alet arasında anlamlı farklılık görülmemiş olup, Covid-19 sürecindeki duygu durumları, süreçten önceki ve süreçteki tutumları, çocukları ile birlikte evde eğlenmek için geçirilen zaman değişkenleri arasında anlamlı farklılık tespit edilmiştir. Ayrıca araştırma sonuçlarında dijital ebeveynlik farkındalığı alt boyutları ile anne baba stres düzeyi arasında yordayıcılık yönüyle anlamlı farklılığın olduğu bulgulanmıştır.
Examining the Relationships Between Digital Parenting And Parent Stress During The Covid-19
Changes and transformation in digital area throughout the 21st century has also led families
to face with these changes and transformation. This situation which families are exposed to with their
children, not only raised the importance of digital parenting, but also affected parents' stress
levels.This pandemic period is considered as highly risky to go out, and people are advised to be stay
at home. Therefore, it has been a period of time family members are affected and more exposed to
online environments. In this context, the aim of the study is to reveal the relationship between digital
parenting awareness and parent stress during the Covid-19, as well as identify how predictor and
parent stress differentiate depending on which variables are. In this research, a descriptive study was
carried out to determine the situation and survey method was used. Personal Information and Survey
Form, Digital Parenting Awareness Scale and Parent Stress Scale were used as the data-gathering
instruments. The population of study are parents who live in Sakarya province. As sample of the
study, 454 parents in the same city were selected based on random method. The data obtained were
analyzed with SPSS Version 22.0 program. Besides descriptive statistical parameters (arithmetic mean,
standard deviation, frequencies), Independent Sample t-test, the one-way variance analysis (ANOVA),
Pearson Product Moments Correlation and Simple Regression analysis were used. The results of the
study indicate no significant difference between the level of parental stress, financial worries they
experienced during the covid-19 and technological devices they mostly prefer. However, significant differences were detected between parental attitude, emotional states before and during the process,
and time spent for having fun at home with their children. In addition, a significant difference
between sub-dimensions of digital parenting awareness and parent stress level was found in terms of
predictability. The explanatory power of parental stress level as the determinant of digital parenting
awareness will make online spaces healthier and more predictable for children and parents in
pandemic societies. For this purpose, digital parenting awareness studies for parents will provide
analytical awareness for both children and families during epidemic periods.
