Türkiye’de uygulanan psikolojik danışma hizmetleri için yeni bir çalışma alanı olarak çevrimiçi psikolojik danışma uygulamalarının ne olduğu, nasıl olması gerektiği, olumlu ve olumsuz tarafları, tarihçesi, yurtiçi ve yurt dışında çevrimiçi psikolojik danışmanın nasıl uygulandığı bu çalışmanın özünü oluşturmaktadır. Çevrimiçi psikolojik danışma konusunda standartların ve etik ilkelerinin neler olmasıyla ilgili az sayıda çalışma olmasına rağmen, internet üzerinden bu hizmetin oldukça yoğun bir şekilde verildiği görülebilir. Google’a ‘çevrimiçi psikolojik danışma’ yazıldığında çok fazla sonuçla karşılaşılması olasıdır. Bu açıdan uygulamada giderek ivme kazanan çevrimiçi psikolojik danışma uygulamaları için standartların ve etik ilkelerin, uzman eğitiminin, hangi durum ve şartlarda çevrimiçi psikolojik danışmanın uygulanabileceği konuların netleştirilmesi önemlidir. Günümüzde psikolojik danışma alanında farklı sebeplerle danışanlarla yüz yüze görüşmelerin mümkün olmadığı durumlarda, danışanlara veya psikolojik danışmanlara ulaşmanın ve iletişim kurmanın yöntem ve teknikleri araştırılmaktadır. Çevrimiçi psikolojik danışma, Türkiye'de üniversitelerce psikolojik danışman eğitiminin ihmal edilen yönü de oluşturmaktadır. Bu hizmeti verecek kişilerin yetkin olması, alanda söz sahibi meslek örgütlerince uygulama standart ve etik kodlarının belirlenmesi önemlidir. Çevrimiçi psikolojik danışma hizmetinin sunulmasıyla ilgili ülkemizde çok az çalışma vardır fakat mevcut çalışmalar çevrimiçi psikolojik danışmanın ülkemizdeki durumunu görmek adına değerlidir. Türkiye için yeni bir alan olarak çevrimiçi danışmanlığın emekleme aşamasında olduğunu söylemek de yanlış olmayacaktır.

The core of this study consists of what the online psychological counseling practices as a new study field for the psychological counseling services applied in Turkey are, how it should be, its positive and negative aspects, its History and how the online psychological counseling practice is applied abroad. Although there are very few studies in Turkey related to what the standard and ethical principles of online psychological counseling practices in Turkey should be, it is observed that this service is being provided actively via internet. It is possible to encounter a lot of results when we type ‘online psychological counseling’ in the Google research engine. In this respect, it is essential to clarify matters such as standards and ethical principles for online psychological counseling practices which are gradually gaining momentum in the practice, specialist training, in what situations and conditions online psychological counseling can be applied. These days, in cases where it is not possible to talk with the clients face to face due to different reasons in the field of psychological counseling, the methods and techniques of reaching out to clients or psychological counselors are being researched. Online psychological counseling is the neglected aspect of the psychological counselor education by the universities in Turkey. It is of great importance for the individuals who will provide this service to be competent and that leading professional associations determine the standard and ethical codes of the practice. Although it is hard to state that there are satisfactory amount of studies in our country regarding the online psychological counseling service delivery, existing studies are valuable for observing the current situation of the online psychological counseling in our country, it would not be inaccurate to assert that as a new field for Turkey, online psychological counseling service, is yet at a crawling stage.
