Sağlık çalışanlarında sosyal zekâ, benlik saygısı ve psikolojik sağlamlık arasındaki ilişki ve etkileyen faktörler

Amaç: Bu çalışma, sağlık çalışanlarında sosyal zekâ, benlik saygısı ve psikolojik sağlamlık arasındaki ilişkiyi ve etkileyen
faktörleri belirlemek amacı ile yapıldı.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Bu araştırma 03 Haziran–15 Eylül 2017 tarihleri arasında kesitsel ve tanımlayıcı olarak Siirt Devlet
Hastanesinde araştırmaya katılmayı kabul eden 241 sağlık çalışanı ile yapıldı. Araştırma verileri; Bireysel Bilgi Formu,
Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği (RBSÖ), Tromso Sosyal Zekâ Ölçeği (TSZÖ)ve Kısa Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği (KPSÖ)
kullanılarak toplandı. Veriler SPSS Windows 22.0 versiyonu kullanılarak analiz edildi.
Bulgular: Sağlık çalışanlarının ölçeklerden aldıkları toplam puan ortalamaları; TSZÖ, 74.2±11.4, RBSÖ, 21.2±4.18, KPSÖ,
19.5±5.0 olduğu saptandı. Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği, Kısa Psikolojik Sağlamlık Ölçeği ve Tromso Sosyal Zekâ Ölçeği ve sosyal zekâ alt ölçekleri arasında pozitif yönde istatistiksel olarak anlamlı bir ilişki olduğu ve sosyal zekânın, benlik
saygısı ve psikolojik sağlamlığı yordayan bir faktör olduğu belirlendi (p<0.001). Kendini ifade etme yeteneği iyi olan
sağlık çalışanların benlik saygısı, sosyal zekâ ve psikolojik sağlamlıklarının istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ve yüksek olduğu
saptandı (p<0.05).
Sonuç: Sağlık çalışanlarının, benlik saygılarının yeterli, sosyal zekâ ve psikolojik sağlamlıklarının iyi düzeyde olduğu
ve benlik saygısı, psikolojik sağlamlık ve sosyal zekânın birbiri ile ilişkili olduğu belirlendi. Sağlık çalışanlarının, benlik
saygısı, sosyal zekâ ve psikolojik sağlamlık düzeylerinin artması ile stres ve tükenmişlikle baş etmelerinin kolaylaşacağı
ifade edilebilir.
The relationship between social intelligence, self-esteem and resilience in healthcare professionals and the affecting factors
Objectives: This study was carried out to determine the relationship between social intelligence, self-esteem and resilience in healthcare professionals and the affecting factors.
Methods: This is a cross-sectional and descriptive study. It was conducted at the Siirt Public Hospital between June 3
and September 15, 2017 with 241 healthcare professionals who agreed to participate in the study. The data were collected using a personal information form, the Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), the Tromso Social Intelligence Scale
(TSIS) and the short version of the Resilience Scale (RS-14). The data were analyzed using SPSS Windows 22.0.
Results: The mean total scores obtained by the healthcare professionals were 74.2±11.4 on the TSIS, 21.2±4.18 on
the RSES, and 19.5±5.0 on the RS-14. A positive statistically significant relationship was found between results on the
Rosenberg Self-esteem Scale, the short version of the Resilience Scale, and the Tromso Social Intelligence scale and social intelligence subscales (p<0.001). Additionally, social intelligence was determined to be a factor predicting self-esteem and resilience. The self-esteem, social intelligence and resilience of the healthcare professionals who were good
at self-expression were statistically significant and high (p<0.05).
Conclusion: The healthcare professionals had sufficient self-esteem and good levels of social intelligence and resilience, and self-esteem, resilience, and social intelligence were correlated. It can be suggested from these results that
higher self-esteem, social intelligence and resilience levels in healthcare professionals would help them cope with
stress and burnout.
