Toplumda kadının statüsünün geçmişten bugüne kadar değersizleştirildiği ve kadının erkek cinsine oranla daha fazla ötekileştirildiği bilinmektedir. Bu durum kadına yönelik verilebilecek her türlü zararın önünü açmaktadır. Her geçen gün artan kadına yönelik gerçekleştirilen yaralama ve ölümle sonuçlanan şiddet haberlerinin temelinde toplumsal cinsiyet kavramı ve toplumda oluşturduğu kadın algısı olduğu düşünülmektedir. Bu sebeple araştırmada ergenlerin toplumsal cinsiyet ve kadına yönelik şiddete dair tutumları arasındaki ilişkiyi açıklamak amaçlanmaktadır. Araştırma örneklemini 123 Kız 83 Erkek olmak üzere toplam 206 ergen oluşturmaktadır. Araştırmada Kişisel Bilgi Formu, İSKEBE Tutum Ölçeği ve Toplumsal Cinsiyet Ölçeği kullanılmış ve SPSS ile gerekli analizler yapılmıştır. Araştırma bulgularına bakıldığında toplumsal cinsiyet ve kadına yönelik şiddet tutumlarının cinsiyete göre farklılaştığı ve toplumsal cinsiyet algısının kadına şiddete yönelik tutumları açıkladığı görülmektedir. Bütün bu bulgular ışığında birtakım öneriler sunulmuştur.

It is known that the status of women in society has been devalued from the past to the present and that the woman has been more marginalized than the male sex. This situation paves the way for all kinds of harm that can be done against women. It is believed that the concept of gender and the perception of women in the society are the basis of the news of violence resulting from injuries and deaths which are increasing day by day. For this reason, it is aimed to explain the relationship between adolescents' attitudes towards gender and violence against women. The sample of the research consists of a total of 206 adolescents, 123 girls and 83 boys. In the research, Personal Information Form and ISKEBE Attitude Scale and Gender Scale were used and necessary analyzes were done with SPSS. When the research findings are examined, it is seen that gender and violence attitudes towards women differ according to gender and gender perception explains attitudes towards violence against women. In the light of all these findings, some suggestions are presented.
