Bir bölge ruh sağlığı hastanesi çocuk ve ergen yataklı servisinde madde kullanımı nedeniyle yatarak tedavi gören hastaların klinik ve sosyodemografik özellikleri

GİRİŞ ve AMAÇ: Bu çalışmada; Bölge Ruh Sağlığı ve Hastalıları Çocuk ve Ergen Birimi yataklı servisinde madde kullananımı nedeniyle yatarak tedavi gören hastaların sosyodemografik özelliklerinin ve kullandıkları maddelere ait özelliklerin incelenmesi amaçlanmıştır.
YÖNTEM ve GEREÇLER: Bölge Ruh Sağlığı ve Hastalıları Çocuk ve Ergen Birimi yataklı servisinde 2014- 2017 tarihlerinde madde kullanımı nedeniyle yatarak tedavi gören hastaların yatış dosyası ve bilgisayar kayıtları geriye dönük olarak incelenmiştir. İstatistiksel analiz için SPSS 20.00 İstatistiksel Paket Programı kullanılmıştır.
BULGULAR: 92 madde kullanan çocuk ve genç tedavi edilmiştir. Olguların yaş ortalaması 15,4 (ss=1,4) yıl, madde kullanmaya başlama yaşı ise13,1 (ss=1,4) olarak bulunmuştur. Hastaların %68,5’i erkek, %31,5 kız hastadır. En çok saptanan maddeler, çoğul madde (%81,3) ve esrardır ve extacy (%62). Madde kullanan gençlerin çoğunluğunun madde ile arkadaş çevresinde tanıştığı (%90,2) ve yaşam koşullarının alt sosyoekonomik düzeyde (%50) olduğu tespit edilmiştir.
TARTIŞMA ve SONUÇ: Kliniğimiz verilerine göre madde kullanımı gençleri de etkileyen ve özellikle alt sosyoekonomik düzeyde ve erkek ergenlerde görülen önemli bir sorundur. Çalışmamız sadece klinik örneklemi temsil etmektedir, bu nedenle konuyla ilgili daha fazla toplum örneklemli epidemiyolojik çalışmalara ihtiyaç vardır.
A clinical and sociodemographic evaluation of youths with substance use disorders in a child and adolescent inpatient unit of a mental health hospital
INTRODUCTION: The aim of this study was to evaluate the demographic and clinical data of substance users who were intreatment in Mental Health Hospital Child and Adolescent Psychiatry inpatient Department.
METHODS: Medical records of substance user patients treated between 2014 and 2017 in Inpatient Child Psychiatry Unit of Mental Health Hospital were examined retrospectively. SPSS 20.00 Statistical Package Program was used for statistical analysis.
RESULTS: 92 substance user child and youth had been treated. The median age of cases was 15,4 ( ±1,4), the onset age of substance use was 13,1 (1,4). 68,5 %of these case is male gender and 31,5 % is female. The most common substance used is marijuana and extacy (62% ), the substance user youth have met with the substance around friends(90,2%). Living conditions were found to be lower socioeconomic level (50%).
DISCUSSION AND CONCLUSION: According to our clinic results, substance use is an important problem affecting youths, especially at lower socioeconomic level and male adolescents. Our study represents only the clinical sample, so there is a need for more community-based epidemiological studies.
