Dinamik yönelimli destekleyici psikoterapi ruhsal sorunları olan hastaların çoğunun ihtiyaçlarını karşılayabilecek psikoterapötik bir yaklaşımdır ve psikodinamik psikoterapi uygulamalarından geliştirilmiştir. Buna karşın, çoğu ruh sağlığı uzmanının, destekleyici dinamik psikoterapinin öğretilmesi ve öğrenilmesinde çok az zaman ve çaba harcadıkları ve bu terapinin doğasını veya sürecini açıkça ve kesin olarak ifade edemediği gözlenmektedir. Bu psikoterapi yöntemi, belirtileri iyileştirmek, benlik değeri, ego işlevi ve uyum becerilerini geliştirmek amacı ile doğrudan müdahalede bulunmaktadır. Terapide hastanın ilkel aktarımlarını, gerçekliği algılamadaki çarpıtmalarını ve beklentilerini sistematik bir biçimde analiz etme yerine gerçekliğin sınırlarını oluşturmak daha önemlidir. Destekleyici psikoterapinin asıl amacı, ruhsal sorunları olan bireylerin bilinçdışı çatışmalarını araştırmak yerine ego fonksiyonlarını ve uyumunu iyileştirmektir. Bu nedenle dinamik yönelimli destekleyici psikoterapi, hastanın regresyonunu ve negatif aktarım özelliğini en aza indirirken gerçeklik algısını güçlendirmeye, dürtüselliğini azaltmaya ve kaotik düşünce sistemini netleştirmeye odaklanır. Dynamic oriented supportive psychotherapy is a psychotherapeutic approach which can fulfill the needs of most patients with mental problems and it was derived from psychodynamic psychotherapy applications. On the other hand, most psychology professionals put little effort into learning and teaching supportive dynamic psychotherapy and they are unable to accurately express the nature and the process of this therapy. This therapy method directly intervenes with the intentions of curing the symptoms, enhancing self-worth, developing ego function and improving adaptation skills. Forming the patients’ boundaries of reality is more important than analyzing the primitive transference, distortion of reality or expectations. The essential aim of supportive psychotherapy is to improve the patients’ ego functions and harmony instead of researching their unconscious conflicts. Therefore, dynamic oriented supportive psychotherapy focuses on minimizing the patient’s regression and negative transference, strengthening the reality perception, reducing the compulsivity and clarifying the chaotic thinking system. This article analyzes the applications, justifications and main strategies of the dynamic oriented supportive psychotherapy.
