Giriş: Grup psikoterapisi neredeyse tüm psikiyatrik tanı kategorilerinde uygulanan bir tedavi yöntemidir. Yazındaki yüzlerce kuramın var olması ile ilişkili olarak bir o kadar da grup psikoterapisi yöntemi tanımlanmıştır. Etkililiği çalışmaların birçoğunda tanıya veya semptoma özel objektif testler ile gösterilmiş olup projektif testlerin kullanıldığı çalışma sayısı sınırlıdır. Bu çalışmada dinamik yönelimli etkileşim grup psikoterapisinin etkililiğini projektif bir test olan Beier Cümle Tamamlama Testi (BCT) ile göstermek ve tedavi sonunda BCT’deki olumlu ve olumsuz ifadelere ait puanların klinik iyileşme düzeyi ile ilişkili olduğunu göstermek amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Ankara Üniversitesi Tıp Fakültesi Psikiyatri Bölümü, Psikosomatik Servisinde yatarak tedavi gören 16 hastaya tedavi öncesi ve sonrasında BCT uygulanmış ve BCT’ler puanlanmıştır. Klinisyenlerden hastaları ‘daha kötü’, ‘haliyle’ ve ‘daha kötü’ taburcu şeklinde gruplandırmaları istenmiştir. ‘Daha kötü’ taburcu kanaati verilen hasta olmadığı için analizler diğer iki grup arasında yapılmıştır. Tedavi ile BCT’deki puan değişimleri ve bu değişimlerin gruplar arasındaki farkları analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular: Tedavi yöntemi olumsuz ifadelerde anlamlı olarak azalma ve olumlu ifadelerde anlamlı olarak artış yaratmıştır. Tedaviden daha fazla fayda gördüğü düşünülen grubun benlik, anne ve korku ile ilişkili maddelerdeki olumlu ifadelerin artışı diğer gruba göre daha fazladır. Sonuç: Sonuç olarak bu çalışma ile ilk kez erişkin hastalarda grup terapisinin iyileştirici etkisi BCT gibi projektif bir testle değerlendirilmiştir. Bir çalışmadır.

Introduction: Group psychotherapy is a treatment method applied in almost every psychiatric diagnosis cathegory. There are methods of group psychotherapy as much as theories in the literature. Effectiveness of group psychotherapy has been proved with objective scales spesific to diagnosis or symptom in the most of the previous studies but projective tests have never been used for this purpose. In this study, we aimed to investigate the effectiveness of psychodynamic interactive group psychotherapy using Beier Sentence Completion Test (SCT) and correlation of clinical improvement with scores of positive and negative phrases in SCT. SCT was applied before and after treatment to 16 patients who hospitalized in Ankara University Psychiatry Department Psychosomatic Unit and SCTs were scored. It was requested from clinicans to group patients in order to ‘worse’, same as before’ and ‘better’ discharged. Because of there was no patients in ‘worse’ discharged, statistical analaysis have been conducted in between other two group. Patients were divided into three groups in terms of their clinical improvement. Changes in SCT scores after treatment and differences among groups were analyzed. Treatment caused increase in positive phareses and decrease in negative phrases. Changes in phareses about self, mother and fear is more prominent in the group achived more improvement after treatment than other groups. In conclusion with this study, it is the first time that the effectiveness of group psychotherapy was assessed by a projective test such like SCT in adult patients.
