Yakınlık Korkusu Ölçeğinin Türkçe Formunun Geçerlik ve Güvenirlik Çalışması

Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, bireylerin diğerleriyle kurduğu ilişkilerde yakınlık kurmaya ilişkin
korkusunun olup olmadığının değerlendirilmesi amacıyla geliştirilmiş olan Yakınlık Korkusu Ölçeğinin
Türkçe formunun geçerlik ve güvenirliğinin yapılmasıdır.
Yöntem: Çalışmanın örneklemini, İzmir’de yaşayan ve normal popülasyondan seçilen 18-60 yaş
aralığındaki toplam 236 katılımcı oluşturmuştur. Katılımcılara Sosyodemografik Bilgi Formu, Yakınlık
Korkusu Ölçeği (YKÖ), Rosenberg Benlik Saygısı Ölçeği (RBSÖ), Çok Boyutlu İlişki Ölçeği (ÇBİÖ) ve
Kendini Saklama Ölçeği (KSÖ) uygulanmıştır.
Bulgular: Yapılan güvenirlik analizleri sonucunda, ölçek toplam puanının iç tutarlılık katsayısı
0,81 olarak bulunmuştur. Ek olarak, test-tekrar test güvenirlik analizinde, iki uygulama arasındaki korelasyonun 0,76 olduğu gözlenmiştir. Yapılan madde analizi sonuçlarında, madde toplam korelasyonlarının hepsinin 0,20’den büyük olduğu gözlenmiş ve % 27’lik alt-üst grup karşılaştırmaları sonucunda
da madde ortalama puanları arasındaki farklılıkların tümünün anlamlı (p<0,001) çıktığı bulunmuştur.
Yapı geçerliğine ilişkin bulgularda, açımlayıcı faktör analizi temel alınarak oluşturulan ve doğrulayıcı
faktör analiziyle sınanan modelin iyi uyum gösterdiği bulunmuştur. Son olarak, YKÖ toplam puanının
RBSÖ toplam puanı ve ÇBİÖ’nün ilişki girişkenliği ve kendine güven alt ölçekleri ile negatif ve anlamlı
ilişki gösterdiği gözlenmiştir. Ek olarak, YKÖ toplam puanı KSÖ toplam puanı ve ÇBİÖ’nün ilişki korku- su ve ilişki izlenimi ayarlama alt boyutları ile pozitif anlamlı bir ilişki göstermiştir.
Sonuç: Tüm bulguların ışığında, YKÖ’nün Türkçe formunun geçerli ve güvenilir olduğu
sonucuna varılmıştır.
The Validity and Reliability Study of the Fear of Intimacy Scale’s Turkish Form
Objective: The aim of this study was to examine the validity and reliability properties of Fair of
Intimacy Scale’s Turkish form which was developed to help evaluate whether the individual has a fear
of establishing close relationships with others.
Method: Sample of this study comprised 236 participants whose aged 18-60 years old and were
selected from normal population. The Sociodemographic Information Survey, Fear of Intimacy Scale
(FIS), Rosenberg Self-Esteem Scale (RSES), The Multidimensional Relationship Questionnaire (MRQ)
and Self-Concealment Scale (SCS) were applied to the participants.
Results: In the reliability analyzes, the Cronbach’s alpha for the total scale score was 0.81. In ad- dition, according to test-retest analysis, the correlation between the two applications was calculated
to be 0.76. As a result of the item analysis, it was observed that all of the item total correlations were
greater than 0.20 and as the comparison of upper 27% and lower %27 groups, the differences between
the item mean scores were found to be significant (p <0.001). The findings on construct validity, it was
found that the model based on exploratory factor analysis and tested with confirmatory factor analysis
has shown good fit.. Finally, it has been found that FIS has significant negative correlations with the to- tal scores of RSES and MRQ’s subscales named relationship sociability and self-confidence. Moreover,
FIS has significant positive correlations with the total scores of SCS and MRQ’s subscales named fear of
relationship and setting up relationship impression.
Conclusions: In the light of the findings, results of the data analysis revealed that the Turkish
version of the FIS was reliable and valid psychological inventory.
