Teknoloji kullanımı tüm dünyada olduğu gibi Türkiye’de de artış göstermektedir. Bu olgu, özellikle mobil telefonlarda İnternet kullanımının ve erişilebilirliğinin yaygınlaşmasıyla birlikte daha belirgin bir hal almıştır. Bu çalışmanın amacı, üniversite öğrencilerinde nomofobi (No Mobile Phone Phobia-Mobil Telefon Yoksunluğu Korkusu) yaygınlığı ile nomofobi ve sosyal fobinin ilişkisini incelemektir. Araştırma kapsamında Bingöl Üniversitesi Sosyal Hizmet Bölümünde öğrenim gören 307 öğrenciye ulaşılmıştır. Veri toplamak amacıyla Nomofobi Ölçeği ve Liebowitz Sosyal Fobi Ölçeği ile birlikte yaş, sınıf ve cinsiyete ilişkin soruları içeren demografik bilgi formu kullanılmıştır. Araştırma sonucunda, araştırmaya katılanların %41’inin nomofobik olduğu ve nomofobi ile sosyal fobi arasında düşük düzeyde pozitif yönlü bir ilişki bulunduğu bulguları elde edilmiştir. Nomofobinin üniversite öğrencileri arasında hızla yayılan bir sorun haline geldiğini gösteren bu bulgulara istinaden nomofobi ile sosyal fobiye etki eden faktörlere ilişkin koruyucu önleyici çalışmaların yapılması gerektiği öngörülmektedir

The aim of this study is to determine the relationship between nomophobia and social phobia and the prevalence of nomophobia (NO-MObile-PHOne-PhoBIA) among university students. Within the scope of the research, 307 students studying at Bingöl University’s Department of Social Work were reached. In order to collect data, a demographic information form with questions about age, grade, and gender was applied alongside the Nomophobia Scale and the Liebowitz Social Anxiety Scale. According to the results of the study, 41% of the participants are nomophobic. As a result of the study, a low positive correlation has been found between nomophobia and social phobia. These results show nomophobia to have become a rapidly spreading problem among university students and preventive studies to be required on the factors affecting nomophobia and social phobia.
