Tidal model ile izlenen alkol bağımlılarının 12 aylık takip sonuçları

Amaç: Bu çalışmada amaç Tidal Model’e dayalı psikiyatri hemşireliği yaklaşımı ile izlenen alkol bağımlılarının 12 aylık
takip sonuçlarını incelemektir.
Gereç ve Yöntem: Veriler, çalışmaya katılan 36 birey (deney: 18, kontrol: 18) alkolü bıraktıktan 12 ay sonra telefonla
aranarak toplanmıştır.
Bulgular: Deney grubunun %88.9’una (16 birey), kontrol grubunun %83.3’üne (15 birey) ulaşılmıştır. Deney grubunda
ulaşılan bireylerin %37.5’i, kontrol grubunda ulaşılan bireylerin ise %53.3’ü 12 ay içinde poliklinik kontrolüne geldiğini belirtmiştir. Deney grubunun %68.8’inin (n=11), kontrol grubunun %80’inin (n=12) alkol kullandığı belirlenmiş olup, gruplar
arasında anlamlı fark saptanmamıştır. Alkol kullanan bireylerin, alkol kullanmaya tekrar başlama zamanları incelendiğinde, hastaneden taburcu olduktan sonra bir ay içinde kullananların oranı deney grubunda %27.3, kontrol grubunda
%75’dir. Bir aydan sonra alkol kullananların oranı ise deney grubunda %72.7, kontrol grubunda %25’dir. Alkol kullanmaya
tekrar başlama zamanı açısından gruplar arasındaki fark anlamlıdır. Deney grubundaki bireylerle yapılan Birebir Seansların başında belirlenen bireysel hedeflere ulaşma durumları incelendiğinde, bireylerden üçünün (%18.8) hedeflerine ulaşamadığı, 10 bireyin (%62.4) hedeflerine kısmen ulaştığı ve 3 bireyin (%18.8) hedeflerinin tamamına ulaştığı saptanmıştır.
Sonuç: On iki aylık takip süresince bireylerin alkol kullanımının depreşme oranı literatürle uyumludur. Taburcu olduktan sonra ilk bir ay içinde alkol kullananların oranı deney grubunda kontrol grubuna göre daha azdır. Alkol bağımlılığında depreşmeyi önlemek için bireylerle yapılan Birebir Seansların taburculuktan sonra da devam etmesi önerilmektedir.
Evaluation of the twelve-month follow-up results from the alcohol-dependent patients followed by the tidal model
patients who were followed by the psychiatric nursing approach based on the Tidal Model.
Methods: Data were collected by telephone contacts with 36 individuals (18 experimental, 18 control) twelve months
after giving up alcohol.
Results: In this study, 88.9% of the experimental group (n=16) and 83.3% of the control group (n=15) were reached. We
found that 37.5% of the experimental group and 53.3% of the control group stated that they came to the outpatient
clinic during the 12 months. We found that 68.8% of the experimental group (n=11) and 80% of the control group
(n=12) stated that they were alcohol users. There was no significant difference between groups. When the time of starting alcohol use was examined, the rate of alcohol use in the first month after discharge was 27.3% in the experimental
group and 75% in the control group. The rate of alcohol use after one month was 72.7% in the experimental group and
25% in the control group. The difference between the groups was found to be statistically significant. When the state of
reaching individual goals at the beginning of the one-to-one sessions performed with individuals in the experimental
group was examined, 3 of the individuals (18.8%) had not reached their goals; 10 of them (62.4%) had partially reached
their goals, and 3 of them (18.8%) had reached their goals completely.
Conclusion: The rate of individuals’ alcohol use is similar to rates reported in the literature during 12 months of followup. The rate of alcohol use in the experimental group at the first month after discharge was less than in the control
group. It is recommended that one-to-one sessions should be maintained after discharge to prevent relapse into alcohol dependence.
