İlkokulda öğrenciyle en yakın sınıf öğretmeni ve okul psikolojik danışmanı ilgilenmektedir. Bu çalışmanın amacı, ilkokullarda görev yapan sınıf öğretmenleri ve okul psikolojik danışmanlarının birbirlerini nasıl algıladıklarını incelemektir. Öğrencinin bedensel, duygusal, sosyal ve akademik gelişimi için sınıf öğretmeni ve okul psikolojik danışmanının uyumlu çalışması, iş birliği ve iletişime açık olması öğrenci ve öğrenciyle ilgili tüm birimler için önemlidir. Araştırmaya, İstanbul’da özel ve devlet okulunda çalışan 17’si okul psikolojik danışmanı 32’si sınıf öğretmeni toplam 49 öğretmen katılmıştır. Araştırma verileri, açık uçlu sorular ve metafor sorusundan oluşan anketle toplanmıştır. Toplanan verilerin analizi nitel yöntemle yapılmıştır. Araştırmanın bulgularına bakıldığında; sınıf öğretmenleri, okul psikolojik danışmanıyla ilgili genelde olumlu bir algıya sahipken, okul psikolojik danışmanları, sınıf öğretmeniyle ilgili genelde olumsuz bir algıya sahip oldukları bulgusuna ulaşılmıştır. Bir diğer bulgu; okul psikolojik danışmanları, sınıf öğretmenlerinin okul psikolojik danışmanıyla ilgili olumsuz bir algıya sahip olduğunu düşünmektedir. Sınıf öğretmenleri okul psikolojik danışmanıyla ilgili genelde olumlu metaforlar üretmişlerdir. Üretilen metaforlar okul psikolojik danışmanının görev tanımıyla da uyumludur

The aim of the present study is to examine how classroom teachers and school psychological counselors perceive each other. Being in compatible work and being open to cooperation and communication is important for the physical, emotional, social and academic development of the student and for all units related to students. The study included 17 school psychological counselors and 32 classroom teachers working in public schools and private schools in Istanbul, Turkey. The data were collected by a questionnaire consisting of open-ended questions and metaphor question. The analysis of the collected data was performed by qualitative method. The findings indicated that classroom teachers have positive perceptions about school psychological counselors, whereas school psychological counselors have negative perceptions about clasroom teachers. However, it is understood that school psychological counselors think that classroom teachers have negative perceptions about school psychological counselors. Classroom teachers generally produced positive metaphors about the school psychological counselors. The metaphors produced by the teachers are compatible with task definition of the school psychological counselors.
