Anksiyete ve depresyonun yüksek komorbidite göstermesi, bir yandan önemli bir tanı ve tedavi güçlüğü yaratmakta, diğer yandan da özellikle son yıllarda bu iki bozukluğun ayn antiteler mi, yoksa aynı bozukluğun farklı gösterileri mi olduğu sorusunu doğurmaktadır. Bu yazıda çeşitli anksiyete bozukluklarının depresyona eşlik etmesi durumunda ortaya çıkan özellikler ve tedavi ilkeleri ile, anksiyete depresyon bağlantısının olası biyolojik temelleri üzerinde durulmuştur.

The high coexistence rate between anxiety and depression presents significant difficulties in diagnosis and treatment of depression on one hand, and poses the question if they are different entities or different presentations of the same disorder, on the other hand. In this article, the special aspects of clinical management of this mixed states have been reviewed. In addition, the biological evidence of a possible link between these disorders was discussed.
