Yönetici ve eğitici olan 114 psikiyatristin çoğul kişilik bozukluğu konusundaki deneyim ve görüşleri mektup yolu ile sorulmuştur. Yanıt veren 74 psikiyatrist (% 64.9) içerisinde bu tanıyı şimdiye dek en az bir hastasında koyduğunu bildirenler 14 kişidir (% 18.9). 9 kişi (% 12.2) kendisinin bu tanıyı koyduğu bir hastasının şimdiye dek hiç olmadığını, fakat bu tanının konulduğu en az bir hastayı gördüğünü uflirtmektedir. 12 kişi (% 16.2) ise bu tanının konulduğu en az bir hasta duyduğunu, fakat kendisinin görmediğini bildirmektedir. 39 kişi (% 52.7) şimdiye dek bu tanıyı alan bir hasta görmemiş ve çevresinde bu tanının konulduğu bir hasta duymamıştır. Yanıt verenler arasında bu hastaların sanıldığından çok olduğu ve tanı konulamadığını düşünenler yanısıra çok ender görüldüğü ve hatta psikiyatristlerin yarattığı "yapay" bir bozukluk kategorisi olduğu düşüncesinde olanlar da vardır.

114 senior psychiatrists from various university clinics and a large state hospital in Turkey were asked about their experieces and opinions on multiple personality disorder. 74 psychiatrics (% 64.9) answered the questionnaire 14 (% 18.9) of them had diagnosed multiple personality disorder at least one patient 9 (%: 12.2) psychiatrist had never had a patient with this disorder, but had seen a patient diagnosed by a colleague. 12 psychiatrist (% 16.2) had about such a patient, but had never seen him or her personally 39 psychiatrists (% 52.7) had neither seen such a patient nor\\heard about him or her. The opinious about fee subject differs extremely. There are psychiatrics, who believe the prevalence of this disorder should be higher than supposed, but it might be underdiagnosed, and there are others, who believe that it is overestimated and probably an unnecessary category created by professionals.
