Çocuk Psikiyatrisinde Sınıflandırmanın Tarihsel Gelişimi

İlk sınıflandırma çalışmaları tıptaki hastalıklar için yapılmış, daha sonra yetişkin psikiyatrisi, daha sonra da çocuk psikiyatrisiyle ilgili sınıflandırma çalışmaları olmuştur. Günümüzde yaygın olarak kullanılan iki sistem vardır. Biri, Dünya Sağlık Örgütü'nün öncülüğüyle Avrupa'da geliştirilen ICD; diğeri de, Amerikan Psikiyatri Birliği'nin öncülüğüyle geliştirilen DSM sistemidir. Ayrıca çocuk psikiyatrisinde, belirti örüntülerinin, çeşitli çok yönlü değişme teknikleriyle, özellikle faktör analiziyle incelenmesi de giderek önem kazanmaya başlamıştır.
