Psikolojik bakım genel tedavi ve bakımdan ayrı düşünülemez. Özellikle son yıllarda tıp ve hemşirelik alanında yapılan çalışmalar psikolojik tedavi ve bakımın, genel tedavi ve bakımın ayrılmaz bir parçası olduğunu vurgulamakta ve psikolojik bakımın göz ardı edildiği durumlarda yaşanabilecek sorunlara ilişkin pek çok bulgu sunmaktadır. Psikolojik bakım önem kazanmasına rağmen uygulamaya dönüştürmede sorunlar yaşanmaktadır. Psikolojik bakım kavramının tam olarak hemşirelik mesleğine yerleştirilememesi, psikolojik bakım gereksinimlerini belirlemede karşılaşılan güçlükler ve ölçüm araçlarının yetersizliği en önemli sorunlar arasındadır. Bu derlemede; psikolojik bakım kavramı, etkileyen faktörler ve psikolojik bakımda en sık kullanılan ölçeklerle ilgili bilgilere yer verilmiştir. Psikolojik bakımın görünür hale gelmesi için hemşirelerin kolay uygulayabilecekleri, kültürümüze duyarlı psikolojik gereksinimleri belirleyebilen ölçüm araçlarının geliştirilmesi gereklidir.

Psychological care can not be separated from overall treatment and care. Especially in recent years, studies in the field of medicine and nursing emphasize that psychological treatment and care is an integral part of the overall treatment and care, and these studies present many cases regarding the problems that may arise when the psychological care is ignored. Although the psychological care gains importance, there are some problems in putting it into practice. Inability in handling the psychological care in the nursing profession exactly, difficulties encountered in determining the psychological care needs, and inadequacy of the scales are among the most important problems. The concept of psychological care, affecting factors, and the most commonly used scales in psychological care were addressed in this review. Measurement tools that can be applied by nurses easily and determine the culture-sensitive needs of psychological care should be developed in order to make the psychological care visible.
