Bu çalışmada, akut iskemik inmeli 34 olguda, ik 24 saat içindeki lökosit agregabilitesi saptanmıştır. Bulunan değerler, hasta ve kontrol gruplarındaki diğer değişkenlerle karşılaştınlmıştır. Hasta grubunda saptanan ortalama lökosit sayısının, kontrol grubuna göre yüksek olduğu (p =0.001); lökosit agregabilitesinin hasta grubunda anlamlı bir artış gösterdiği (p= 0.001) Ayrıca, hasta grubu içinde; lökosit sayısı ve 1 saatlik eritrosit sedimentasyon hızı ortalamanın üzerinde, Kanada nörolojik skalası skoru 7.5'in altında olanlardan oluşan bir alt grupta; lökosit agregasyon oranının büyük bir olasılıkla % 3'ün üzerinde bulunabileceği sonucuna varılmıştır.

In this study, we determined leukocyte aggrega-bility in 34 patients with acute ischemic stroke during the first 24 hours of stroke. The results are compared to other variables in both patient and control groupsAmong our results, average leukocyte count was higher in the patients gro­up than controls ( p=0.001), leukocyte aggrega-bility showed a remarkable increase in the pati­ent group ( p=0.001), leukocyte aggregation ra­tio was higher in patients with a leukocyte co­unt over the average value by comparison to ot­her patients (p= 0.013). In addition, among the patients; in a subgroup consisted of patients with a leukocyte count and ESR higher than average, and with a CNS lower than 7.5; leu­kocyte aggregation ratio was strongly predicted to be higher than 3 percent.
