Moklobemid Kullanımı ile Gelişen İkincil Mani

Antidepresan ilaçların ikincil maniye veya hipomaniye yol açabildikleri bilinmektedir. Epilepsi tanısı ile uzun yıllardır takip edilen iki hastaya, varolan depresif belirtileri nedeniyle istenen konsültasyon sonucu distimik bozukluk, çifte depresyon (distimik bozukluk ve majör depresyon) tanısı ile moklebemid tedavisi başlanmıştır. Tedavi başlangıcından kısa bir süre sonra her iki vakada da ikincil mani toblosu ortaya çıkmıştır.

Secondary Mania Following Moclobemide Use

Previous reports indicated that antidepressants may induce hypomania or mania, Moclobemid medication was started in two epileptic patients who had been followed up for many [year]s for epilepsy and diagnosed as dysthymic disorder and double depression after consultation because of current depressive symptoms. A short time after the beginnig of medication, secondary mania occured in both cases.
