Uyku bozuklukları depresif bozuklukların semptomatolojisinde önemli ve değişmeyen bir yere sahiptir. Kısa REM latensi, gece sık uyanma ve sabah çok erken uyanma ve bunların sonucunda da total uyku süresinin kısalması, major depresyondaki uyku sürdürümünün bozulduğunun ana göstergeleridir. Bu derlemede yeni nesil antidepresan ilaçların uyku üzerine etkileri, son literatürün ışığında gözden geçirilmiştir.

Sleep disorders have an important and unchangeable place in symptomatology of depressive disorders. Short REM latency, frequent night wakes, wake up too early in the morning and shortening of total sleep duration as the result of these are the basic indicators of sleep continuity deterioration in major depression. We reviewed the effects of new generation antidepressant drugs on sleep with the help of current literature.
