Travma sonrası stres bozukluğunda sertralinin etkinliği

Son zamanlarda, TSSB? nun farmokoterapisinde SSRI? lar sıklıkla tercih edilmektedir. Bu çalışmada, sertralinin TSSB? ndaki etkinliği araştırılmıştır.
Ortalama hastalık süresi 13.7±16.5 ay, yaşları 27.6±6.9 yıl olan, askeri çatışma kaynaklı 20 TSSB olgusuna 140±41.7 (100-200) mg/gün sertralin 6 hafta süre ile uygulanmıştır. Tedavi sonuçları CAPS II, İES ve Beck Depresyon Envanteri uygulanarak izlenmiştir.
Akut olgular tedaviden fayda görmezken, kronik olgularda her 3 semptom kümesinde, komorbid bozukluğu olmayanlarda sadece İES intrusiv semptomlarda, komorbid bozukluğu olanlarda ise kaçınma, artmış uyarılmışlık ve genel yaşantı alanlarında iyileşme tespit edilmiştir.
Sertralin özellikle komorbid depresyonlular olmak üzere kronik olgularda etkin bulunmuştur.
The efficacy of sertraline on post-traumatic stress disorder
Recently, selective serotonin reuptake inhibitors (SSRI) are frequently preferred in the pharmacotherapy of posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD). The study is designed to establish the efficacy of the serotonin reuptake inhibitor sertraline in the treatment of PTSD with/without comorbid psychiatric disorders.
Twenty patients (age: 27.6±6.9 [year]s, the duration of illness: 13.7±16.5 [month]s) with combat-related PTSD entered an open, prospective, 6 week trial of sertraline with 140±41.7 (100-200) mg/day doses. The patients were administered CAPS II, IES and Beck Depression Inventory, before and after the treatment.
Although there is no improvement in acute patients, it was found that sertraline is effective on intrusive, avoidance and hyperarousal symptoms of PTSD in chronic ones. Intrusive symptoms of IES in patients without comorbid disorders, and avoidance, hyperarousal symptoms, social and occupational functioning, and global improvements scores in patients with comorbid disorder improved.
Sertraline is an effective pharmacotherapeutic agent for treating of chronic PTSD patients with particularly comorbid depression.
