Bağlanma yaşamın erken dönemlerinde sosyal ve duygusal gelişimin önemli bir bileşeni olup, bağlanma ilişkisindeki niteliğin bebek ruh sağlığının erken dönemdeki önemli bir belirleyicisidir. Bebekler için seçici bir bağlanma geliştirmeye eğiliminin çok güçlü olduğu ancak atipik bakımverme ortamlarının bu güçlü eğilimin gelişmesini sekteye uğratabileceği düşünülmekte, bu durumda bağlanma ile ilgili klinik bozukluklar gelişebilmektedir. Bu yazıda Tepkisel Bağlanma Bozukluğu, Sınırsız Toplumsal Katılım Bozukluğu ve Bebeklik ve Erken Çocukluğun İlişkiye Özgül Bozukluğu, sık kullanılan tanılama sistemlerinin yanı sıra ağırlıklı olarak Bebek ve Küçük Çocuklar için Psikiyatrik ve Gelişimsel Bozukluklar Tanı Sınıflandırması (Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood-DC:0-5) ekseninde sunulmuş, değerlendirme, klinik görünümleri, ayırıcı tanı ve sağaltımlarını içeren güncel yazın eşliğinde tartışılmıştır.

Attachment and its quality is an important component of social and emotional development from the beginning of life, possessing significant influences on the infants' mental health. Although infants have a strong tendency to develop selective attachment with their caregivers, atypical caregiving environments may hinder this strong tendency and may lead to clinical disorders of attachment. This paper presents Reactive Attachment Disorder, Disinhibited Social Engagement Disorder and Relationship Specific Disorder Of Infancy And Early Childhood in accordance with the Diagnostic Classification of Mental Health and Developmental Disorders of Infancy and Early Childhood-DC: 0-5 along with other commonly used diagnostic classifications of mental disorders. Additionally, clinical assessment, differential diagnosis, treatment approaches and the course of these disorders are discussed in light of the relevant literature.
