Bu yazıda adolesanlardaki depresyon ve anksiyetenin birlikte görüldüğü durumlar incelenmiş; belirtilerin özellikleri, biyolojik çalışmalar, aile çalışmaları, tedavi yanıtları gözden geçirilmiş; tanı güçlükleri ve sınıflandırma sorunları tartışılmıştır. Epidemiyolojik ve klinik çalışmalar her iki durumun birlikte görülmesinin yüksek oranda olduğunu ortaya koymaktadır. Ancak gerek biyoloji ve aile çalışmaları gerekse tedavi yanıtları bu durumların ne şekilde ele alınması gerektiği konusuna henüz bir netlik getirebilmiş değildir.

In this article comorbidity of adolescent depression and anxiety is reviewed from the aspects of characteristics of the symptoms, biological studies, family studies and treatment response. Difficulties in diagnosis and classification of the comorbid states are discussed. Epidemiological and clinical studies show that the comorbidity rate of depression and anxiety is high. However, neither biological and family studies nor treatment responses are yet enough to bring clear explanation to the classification and management of these comorbid states.
