Bu çalışmada, 50 şizofrenik, 50 manik, 50 depresif hasta ve 50 normal deneğin konuşma içerikleri bir bilgisayarlı içerik çözümleme yöntemi kullanılarak çözümlenmiştir. Yöntemin denekleri tanıya göre doğru sınıflama oranı tüm gruplar için %72.5 olarak bulunmuştur. Konuşma içeriği çözümlemesi sonucunda manik ve depresif hastaların konuşmalarının yakın çevre ile etkileşim konusuna yoğunlaştığı, şizofreniklerin ise günlük yaşamdan uzak soyut konulara ve zihinsel süreçlere yöneldikleri görülmüştür.

In this study, the speech contents of 50 schizoprenic, 50 manic, 50 depressive patients and 50 normal subjects were analyzed through a computerized content analysis method. Of the subjects, 72.5% were correctly classified into the diagnostic groups by this method. We found that while manics and depressives were preoccupied with their close group relations, schizophrenics were talking about abstract topics and cognitive processes
