Antidepresan ilaçlar, depresyonda birinci seçenek olarak kullanılan tedavi biçimidir. Depresyonun heterojen bir bozukluk olduğu bilinmektedir. Depresyon alt tiplerinin tedavisinde, çeşitli antidepresan ilaçlar arasında etkinlik açısından önemli farklılıklar bulunamamıştır. Ancak çalışmalarda bazı antidepresanların depresyonun çeşitli tiplerinde daha etkin olduğu gösterilmiştir. Ayrıca, bu ilaçların depresyon tiplerine göre uygulama farklılıkları da vardır. Bu derlemede antidepresan seçiminin depresyon tedavisindeki önemi vurgulanmaya çalışılmıştır.

Antidepressant drugs remain the first choice in the treatment of major depressive disorders. Most researchers agree that “depression” is a heterogenous disorder. There are no convincing data to suggest that any antidepressant is therapeutically superior to any other in the treatment of the subtypes of depression. However, there are some evidence that different types of antidepressant agents have some advantages in the treatment of subtypes. This review focuses on importance of the selection of drug and dosage for depressive subtypes.
