Grülütünün çok eksenli DSM (Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders) sisteminde eksen IV (psikososyal ve çevresel faktör)’de kodlanıp kodlanmayacağı, kodlanacaksa şiddetinin ne olacağı tanımlanmamıştır. Bu çalışma böyle bir konuda rapor sunma amacını taşımaktadır. Çalışma; Isparta iplik fabrikasında, iş güvenliği tüzüğünün öngördüğü gürültü seviyesi (80 dB, 7.5 saat) üzerinde çalışan 112 işçide gerçekleştirildi. Bu iş ortamında gürültü şiddeti ve devamlılığı yönünden üç farklı bölge vardı. Bu üç bölümde işçilerin Hamilton Anksiyete Ölçeği (HAÖ) puanları, gürültüye bağlı işitme kaybı görülenlerde HAÖ puanları, kadın ve erkek işçilerde HAÖ puanları karşılaştırıldı. Çalışma süreleri ile HAÖ puanları arası ilişki araştırıldı. Gürültünün anksiyete yaratan, çevresel bir faktör olduğu, anksiyete yapıcı etki yönünden gürültü devamlılığının şiddetinden daha önemli bir faktör olduğu, gürültünün bunaltı yaratıcı etkisinin cinsiyet farkının olmadığı, maruz kalma süresi ile bunaltı yaratıcı etkinin ters ilişkiye sahip olduğu sonuçlarına varıldı.

It’s not clear whether the noise can be coded as an Axis IV (psychosocial and environmental problems) factor in the multiaxial DSM system and what should its severity be if it can. This study aims to present a preliminary report on this subject. The study was performed on 127 workers, working under a noisy condition over Turkish Labor Security Statute standard at the Isparta textile factory. There were three different sectors for the severity and frequency of the noise. The Hamilton Anxiety Rating Scale (HARS) scores of all the workers were measured and compared accross the three groups. The groups were also compared for noise induced hearing loss in the groups. The correlations between [year]s of employment and HARS scores were investigated. It was concluded that the noise is an environmental anxiogenic factor, the continuity of the noise is more important than its severity, there is no gender difference between groups in anxiogenic effect of noise and anxiogenic effect has a negative correlation with the duration of exposure to noise.
