Amaç: Bu araştırmanın amacı dördüncü sürümü geliştirilen Anne-Baba Stres Ölçeği Kısa Formunun (ABSÖ-KF) Türkçeye uyarlanmasıdır. Yöntem: Özgün ölçeğin faktör yapısının Türk kültürüne uygunluğunun belirlenmesi için 323 anne ve baba üzerinde doğrulayıcı faktör analizi (DFA) yapılmıştır. Ölçeğin geçerliliğini belirlemek amacıyla çocuklarının yaşadığı çeşitli ruhsal sorunlar nedeniyle psikiyatri servisleri, rehberlik ve araştırma merkezleri, okul psikolojik danışma ve rehberlik servislerine başvuran anne-babalar ile bu merkezlerden herhangi birine çocukları için başvurmayan anne-babalara ABSÖ-KF uygulanmış ve grupların ölçme aracından elde ettikleri puanlar arasındaki farkın anlamlılığı t testi ile değerlendirilmiştir. Ölçme aracının güvenilirliği 49 anne-baba üzerinde test-tekrar test yöntemi ile bir ay arayla belirlenmiştir. Sonuç: DFA sonucu elde edilen uyum indeksleri RMSEA=0.06, NFI=0.97, CFI=0.98 ve GFI=0.95 olarak belirlenmiştir. Elde edilen bu değerler ABSÖ-KF’nin özgün faktör yapısının Türk kültüründe iyi uyum gösterdiğini belirtmektedir. ABSÖ-KF’nin çocukları için ruhsal yardım alan ve almayan anne-baba grupları arasında tüm alt boyutlarında anlamlı farklılık gösterdiği görülmüştür. ABSÖ-KF test-tekrar korelasyon değerleri ES alt boyutu için 0.58, BEÇE alt boyutu için 0.69, ZÇ alt boyutu için 0.60 ve toplam puan için 0.91 olarak hesaplanmıştır. Tartışma: ABSÖ-KF’nin Türkçeye uyarlama çalışmasından elde edilen değerler, ölçe- ğin Türk kültüründe kullanılabilecek geçerli ve güvenilir bir ölçme aracı olduğunu göstermektedir. ABSÖ-KF annebabaların stres düzeylerinin belirlenmesinde ve farklı değişkenlerle ilişkilerinin ortaya konulmasında kullanılabilir.

Objective: The purpose of the current research was to adapt the 4th version of the Parenting Stress Scale Short Form (PSI-SF) into Turkish. Methods: Confirmatory factor analysis (CFA) was carried out on the data obtained from 323 parents so as to investigate whether the factor structure in the original scale was congruent in the Turkish culture. In order to examine the reliability of the index, PSI-SF was administered to parents who applied to psychiatry services, counseling and research centers, and school psychological guidance and counseling services due to various psychological problems of their children and to those who did not apply to any of these services for their children. The significance of the scores taken from the measurement tool by groups was tested using t-test. The reliability of the index was determined through test-retest method on the 49 parents with a one-month interval. Results: As a result of the CFA, the goodness of fit values were found to be RMSEA=0.06, NFI=0.97, CFI=0.98, and GFI=0.95. The values obtained demonstrated that the original factor structure of the PSI-SF had a good fit with Turkish culture. Significant differences were detected between the parents whose children received and did not received psychological guidance or in all of the sub-dimensions of the PSI-SF. test-retest correlation values regarding the PSI-SF was calculated to be 0.58 for parental stress (PS) subdimension, 0.69 for parent-child dysfunctional interaction (PCDI) subdimension, 0.60 difficult child (DC) subdimension, and 0.91 for the whole index. Conclusion: The values obtained from the Turkish adaptation study of the PSI-SF revealed that the index is a reliable and valid measurement instrument to be used in Turkish culture. The PSI-SF can be used to determine the stress level of the parents and reveal its relationship with other variables.
