Bilişsel davranışçı terapi (BDT) çocuk ve ergenlerde psikopatolojilerin tedavisi ve önlenmesinde sık kullanılan, kanıta dayalı bir terapi yöntemidir. BDT insan davranışlarını, psikopatolojilerini temel olarak bilişsel ve davranışsal kuram çerçevesinden açıklamaya çalışır. Düşüncelerimiz, duygularımız ve davranışlarımız arasındaki ilişkiye vurgu yapar. Yapılandırılmış, amaca yönelik bir terapi yöntemi olmasına rağmen terapotik ilişkiyi de önemser. Çocuk ve gençlerde psikopatolojilerin tedavisinde uygun teknikler kullanılarak uygulandığında oldukça etkilidir. Anksiyete bozuklukları, depresyon, yıkıcı davranış bozuklukları, dışa atım bozukluklarının tedavisinde kullanılabilir. Bu bölümde BDT'nin kuramsal temelleri, varsayımları, çocuk ve ergenlerde ki terapi süreci ve uygulanan teknikler ele alınacaktır.

Cognitive-behaviour therapy (CBT) is a evidence-based therapy that is commonly used in the treatment and prevention of psychopathologies in children and adolescents. CBT tries to explain human behaviors and psychopathologies in terms of cognitive and behavioral theories. It emphasizes the relationship of thought, feeling and behavior. Despite being a structured, goal directed therapy, the therapeutic relationship is also important. It is quite effective using appropriate techniques in the treatment of psychopathologies in the children and adolescents. It can be used to treat anxiety disorders, depression, destructive behavior disorders, elimination disorders. In this section, the theoretical bases of CBT, assumptions, therapy process in children and adolescents and applied techniques will be discussed.
