Bu araştırmada çocuk ruh sağlığı polikiliniğine başvuran ve çeşitli psikiyatrik tanılar alan 8-17 yaş aralığındaki 200 çocuk ve ergen incelenmiş; farklı psikiyatrik tanılardaki depresif belirtiler araştırılmıştır. Özbildiri ölçeği olarak Çocuklar İçin Depresyon Ölçeği Çocuk ve Ana Baba Formu uygulanmıştır. Depresyon ve çeşitli psikiyatrik bozuklukların birlikteliği açısından gruplar arasında anlamlı düzeyde bir fark bulunmamıştır. Bununla birlikte, dikkat eksikliği hiperaktivite bozukluğu, depresyon, davranım bozukluğu tanısı alan çocuk ve gençlerin depresif belirti düzeyleri yüksek bulunmuştur. Çalışmada, depresyonun, yaş ve cinsiyetle olan ilişkisi de incelenmiştir. Bulgular, çeşitli psikiyatrik bozuklukların etiyolojisinde, gidişinde, tedavisinde ve sınıflandırma çalışmalarında depresif belirtilerin yerini ve önemini göstermiştir.

In this study, 200 children and adolescents between the ages of 8-17 with different psychiatric diagnosis were assessed in the outpatient clinic and the depressive symptoms were examined. Children’s Depresison Inventory Child and Parent Form scales were administered. There was no significant difference between the different diagnostic groups regarding the rates of comorbidity of depression and other psychiatric disorder. However, the depressive symptom severity of children and adolescents who had a diagnosis of attention deficit hyperactivity disorder, depressive disorder and conduct disorder were higher than the other disorders. In this study, the correlation between depression and demographic variables such as age and sex were also investigated. The results of this study showed the importance and the role of the depresisve symptoms in the etiology, course, prognosis, treatment ad classification of different psychiatric disorders.
