Obsesif kompülsif bozukluk (OKB) hastalarının önemli bir bölümü, farmakoterapiye ve psikoterapiye iyi cevap vermemektedir. Bir beyin stimülasyon yöntemi olan tekrarlayıcı transkranyal manyetik uyarımın (tTMU) depresyon tedavisinde etkili olduğu gösterilmiştir. Bu makalede OKB hastalarında tTMU'nun kullanıldığı çalışmalar incelenmiştir. Bu amaçla Pubmed, EBSCOhost, OvidLWW, Web of Science veritabanlarında "obsessive-compulsive disorder" ve "transcranial magnetic stimulation" terimleri girilerek tarama yapılmıştır. Randomize kontrollü çalışmaların yanı sıra açık çalışmalar ve olgu sunumları da ele gözden geçirilmiştir. Çalışma sayısı az, çalışma tasarımları ve tedavi parametreleri heterojen, örneklemler küçüktür. Bilateral olarak dorsolateral bölgelere, suplemanter motor alana ve orbitofrontal kortekse yapılan uyarım ümit vaat etmektedir.

A considerable percentage of patients with obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD) respond poorly to medication and psychotherapy. Repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMU), which is a technic to stimulate the brain, has been shown to be effective in the treatment of depression. In this article, we searched the studies employing rTMS in individuals with OCD. We entered the terms "obsessive-compulsive disorder" and "transcranial magnetic stimulation" into the databases of Pubmed, EBSCOhost, OvidLWW, and Web of Science and screened the relevant studies. As well as including randomized and controlled studies, we also included open studies and case reports. The number of studies is few, study designs and the parameters of applying rTMS are heterogenous and samples are small. It seems that it is promising to stimulate the dorsolateral prefrental cortex bilaterally, supplementary motor area and orbitofrontal cortex.
