Bebek ruhsal gelişmesinin doğrudan gözlem ile değerlendirilmesi amacı ile yürütülen bu çalışmada bağlanma kuramı çerçevesi içinde çalışıldı. Gönüllülük ile yürütülen çalışmaya 73 anne adayıyla başlandı, 36 anne ve bebekle sonlandırıldı. Tanışma görüşmesinde ailelerin sosyo demografik özellikleri incelendi, anne adaylarına Zung Depresyon Ölçeği ve durumluluk-süreklilik kaygı ölçekleri uygulandı, aynı uygulama altıncı ayda annelere tekrarlandı. Bebeklerin doğum şekli, gebelik süresi, APGAR puanlaması doğumhane kayıtları ile izlendi. Altıncı ve onikinci ayda yapılan bebek değerlendirmesinde Ankara Gelişim Tarama Envanteri (AGTE) ile birlikte yabancı durum testi ve bağlanma sorgulama anketleri uygulandı.

Annelerin doğum öncesine göre belirgin bir ruhsal rahatlama içinde oldukları, bebeklerin önemli bir bölümünün aile içinde ve anneleri tarafından büyütüldüğü belirlendi. Bebeklerin bağlanma davranışı gösterdikleri, ancak takvim yaşları ile birlikte değerlendirildiklerinde beklenen yabancı durum tepkisi göstermedikleri saptandı. Bu durum babaanne, anneanne gibi aile üyelerinin bebeğin bakımında önemli derecede rol oynayarak bağlanılan kişi sayısını artırması ve bebeğin anne dışında yabancılarala çabuk karşılaşması olarak açıklanabilir.

In this study made for the purpose of evaluation with direct observation of the babies emotional development, attachment teory was used. The study began with voluntary 73 pregnant women and ended with 36 mothers and their babies. At the first interview social demographic datas of the families were investigated, Zung Depression Scale and State-Trait Inventory were applied to mother candidatis and at the 6th [month] the same were repeated. The baby’s borning style, pregnancy weeks, APGAR scale were followed by maternity registrations. At baby’s evaluation made in 6th and 12th [month]s with Ankara Development Scan Inventory, Strange Situation test and Attachment Measure were applied.

Compaired to prenatal situation after the delivery, mothers were psychiatrically relaxed and the babies were nursed by their mothers. Babies showed attachment behavior, but when evaluated with their calender age the expected strange situation reaction was not seen. This result can be explained by the entrance of grandmothers to the babies’ nursery and so increase in the bereadth of attachment and the babies’ early contact with strangers.
