Travma sonrası stres bozukluğu (TSSB), travmatik bir olay sonrasında ortaya çıkan, yeniden yaşantılama, kaçınma, olayla ilişkili bilişlerde ve duygu durumda olumsuz değişiklikler ve aşırı uyarılma belirtileri karakterizedir. TSSB gelişiminde travmatik olay ile birlikte kişinin genetik, biyolojik, psikolojik yapısı ve çevresel birçok faktör rol oynamaktadır. TSSB, çocuk ve ergenlerde gelişim ve olgunlaşma sürecinin devam ettiği biyolojik yapıda bozulmalara neden olarak yaşamın sonraki dönemlerinde psikiyatrik ve biyolojik birçok hastalığın gelişimine zemin hazırlayabilmektedir. Bu yazıda TSSB etiyolojisinin literatür ışığında gözden geçirilmesi amaçlanmıştır.

Posttraumatic stress disorder (PTSD), which occurs after a traumatic event, is characterized by re-experiencing, avoidance of trauma-related stimuli, negative changes in emotional state and cognition associated with the event and increased arousal. In the development of PTSD, the genetic, biological, psychological structure of the person and many environmental factors play a role together with the traumatic event. PTSD is able to prepare the basis for the development of many psychiatric and biological diseases in the later stages of life by causing deterioration in the biological structure of development and maturation process in children and adolescents. In this article, it is aimed to review the etiology of PTSD in light of the literature.
