Çocuk ve ergenlerde konsültasyon ve liyezon psikiyatrisi bir çok farklı alan ve boyutlarda faaliyet göstermektedir. Hastanelerde çocuk ve ergen konsültasyon liyezon psikiyatrisinin çalışmaları; çocuk ve ergen psikiyatrisi birimi tarafından hastanenin diğer birimlerine sağlanan klinik, terapötik ve koruyucu bakım hizmetleri, pedagoloji ile ilgili çalışmalar ve araştırmaları kapsamaktadır. Tıbbi hastalığı olan çocuk ve ergenlerde psikiyatrik ve psikososyal güçlüklerle karşılaşma riskinin genel nüfusa oranla çok daha yüksek oranda olduğu görülmektedir. Bu hastaları değerlendirme sürecinde biyopsikososyal yaklaşım kullanılmaktadır. Değerlendirmenin ardından klinisyenin kanıtlara dayanan psikososyal ve psikofarmakolojik tedavi planı geliştirmesi gerekmektedir. Bu makalede çocuk ve ergen konsültasyon ve liyezon pisikiyatrisinde tedavi seçenekleri ele alınacaktır.

Child and adolescent consultation?liaison psychiatry operates in numerous dimensions and domains. The activity of child and adolescent consultation?liaison psychiatry within the hospital can be defined as: the clinical, therapeutic and preventive care given by the staff members of the children psychiatric department, and their studies on pedagogy and research, in the other departments of the children hospital. Psychially ill children and adolescents have higher risk to encounter psychiatric and psychosocial difficulties than normal population. Biopsychosocial approach is used in the process of the evaluation of these patients. After the evaluation, clinicians need to develop psychosocial and psychopharmacological treatment plan based on the evidence. In this article, treatment options in a child and adolescent consultation-liaison psychiatry will be discussed.
