Şizofrenik hasta ailelerine yönelik bir psikoeğitimsel yaklaşım uygulaması denemesi.

Amaç: Şizofreni tanısı ile hastanede yatmakta olan hastaların bakımından birinci derece sorumlu olan hasta
yakınlarının hastalık semptomlarını ele alma ve hastalıkla ilgili yaşadıkları stresli durumlarla baş etmelerine
psikoeğitimsel yaklaşımın etkisini belirlemektir. Yöntem: Araştırma 30'u deney grubu, 30'u kontrol grubu olmak
üzere toplam 60 hasta yakını üzerinde yapılmıştır. Veriler anket formu, taburculuk izlem formu ve stresle başa
çıkma tarzları ölçeği (SBTÖ) ile toplanmıştır. Elde edilen veriler doğrultusunda araştırma grubundaki hasta
yakınlarına planlı psikoeğitimsel yaklaşım uygulanmıştır. Verilerin değerlendirilmesinde SPSS programında
bağımsız gruplarda t testi, ki-kare testi, Fisher'i n kesin ki-kare testi ve varyans analizi kullanılmıştır. Sonuçlar:
Hastaneye kabulde her iki gruptaki hasta yakınlarının (% 100) hastaya bakım verirken güçlükler yaşadıkları,
psikoeğitimsel yaklaşımın uygulandığı araştırma grubu hasta yakınlarının bir ve ikinci aylık kontrollerde
bakımda yaşadıkları güçlüklerin azaldığı (% 26), karşılaştırma grubu hasta yakınlarının aylık kontrollerde
bakımda yaşadıkları güçlüklerin artarak devam ettiği (% 96.7), hastaneye kabulde hasta yakınlarının stresle
olumlu, ikinci aylık kontrolde olumsuz baş ettikleri, aile tipi ve cinsiyet özelliklerinin hasta yakınlarının stresle
başetmelerini etkilediği saptanmıştır. Bu sonuçlara göre psikoeğitimsel yaklaşımın, hasta yakınlarının hastalık
semptomlarını etkin şekilde ele alabilme yaklaşımlarını artırabileceği söylenebilir.
The effects of psychoeducatinal approach for the handling of disease symptoms and coping with stress among relatives of schizophrenic patients
Objective: This investigation has been made among the relatives of the patients who have been responsible for
the primary care of their patients who have been hospitalized with the diagnosis of schizophrenia. The aim of
this study is to define the effects of psychoeducational implication for the patients? relatives in handling of
disease symptoms and coping with stress. Method: In this study, totaly 60 patient relatives; as 30 experimental
subjects and 30 control subjects, have been included. The data were acquired from the questionaire, discharge
observation forms and the scale of the ways coping with stress. In accordance with data, the relatives of patients
in experimental group were given planned psychoeducational implication. All collected data were assessed by
means of Statistical Package for Social Sciences (SPSS) in the computer. In the analysis of the data t test for independent groups, chi-square, Fisher's exact chi-square, analysis of variance have been used. Results: At the
end of the study, in both groups it has been found that during the hospitalization and during the patient care, the
relatives of patient had difficulties. It has been found out that first and second [month]ly controls after the
psychoeducational implication, the relatives of the patients in experimental group had less difficulties during
[month]ly controls (26.7 %) and the relatives of control group had more problems in patient care (96.7 %). It has
been found that during the hospitalization the relatives of the patients could cope with stress positively and
during the second [month]ly controls they coped with stress negatively because family type and sex have affects on
their coping with stress. According to these results, we can say that the psychoeducational approach may
increase the handling of disease symtoms of relatives of the patients effectively.
