Bu araştırmada, ergenlerde internet bağımlılığı ile öznel iyi oluş ve bazı bireysel değişkenler arasındaki ilişkiler incelenmiştir. Araştırmaya 2011–2012 öğretim yılında Manisa merkez ilçesinde ortaöğretimde öğrenim gören 794 (335 erkek, 459 kadın) öğrenci katılmıştır. Öğrencilere, İnternet Bağımlılık Ölçeği (İBÖ), Ergen Öznel İyi Oluş Ölçeği (EÖİOÖ) ve Kişisel Bilgi Formu (KBF) uygulanmıştır. Verilerin analizi için lojistik regresyon tekniği kullanılmıştır. Analizlerde SPSS 15.0’dan yararlanılmıştır. Araştırmada, internet kullanım tarzlarına ilişkin değişkenlerden; internete genellikle kafeden ve telefondan bağlananların, genellikle evden ve diğer yerlerden bağlananlara göre; kullanım amacı açısından daha çok oyun, e- posta, sosyal medya ve diğer amaçlarla bağlananların daha çok ödev, film ve müzik için bağlananlara göre internet bağımlılığı olasılıklarının arttığı belirlenmiştir. İnternete bağlı kalınan süre arttıkça da bağımlılık olasılığının arttığı bulunmuştur. Öznel iyi oluş alt ölçeklerine ait değişkenlerden, önemli diğerleri ile ilişkide doyum ve olumlu duygular arttıkça internet bağımlılık olasılığının azaldığı, yaşam doyumu arttıkça internet bağımlılık olasılığının arttığı sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Aile ilişkilerinde doyumun ise, internet bağımlılığı üzerinde önemli bir etkisinin olmadığı belirlenmiştir. Bireysel değişkenlerden cinsiyete göre erkek öğrencilerin; başarılı olan öğrencilere göre orta düzeyde başarılı ve başarısız olanların; gelecek beklentisi olumlu olan öğrencilere göre olumsuz olanların internet bağımlılık puanlarının daha yüksek olduğu sonucuna ulaşılmıştır. Bu bulgular ışığında, okullarda akran ilişkilerini ve yüz yüze ilişkileri özendirici etkinlikler düzenlenebilir. Velilere yönelik ise teknolojinin olumlu ve olumsuz yönleriyle ilgili bilgilendirme çalışması yapılabilir

This study examined the relationship between subjective well-being high school students with internet addiction and some individual variables. 794 students participated to 2011-2012 academic year studying in high school in the central district of the city of Manisa, in this study. It was applied to the students Internet Addiction Scale (IAS), Subjective Well-Being Scale (SWBS) and the Personal Information Form (PIF). Logistic regression method was used for data analysis. SPSS 15.0 was utilized in the analysis. In this study, it was concluded that in terms of gender male students; in terms of success, moderately successful and unsuccessful students; in terms of expectations of future, those with a negative future expectations have higher internet addiction scores. Of the variables related to internet usage styles; it was determined, usually the students who connect to internet from telephone and cafe, that the possibility of internet addiction increase, according to connect from house and other places. Smilarly, it was determined according to usage of internet the students who generally connect to internet for game, e-mail, social media and other aims increase the possibility of internet addiction according to the students who connect to internet for home work, film and music. It was found that the time spent connected to the Internet increases, possibility of addiction increases. It was observed, as long as the variables that relate to subjective well-being subscale, important with the others satisfaction relations and positive emotion increase, the possibility of internet addiction is decreased. The addition, it was concluded as the life satisfaction increase, the possibility of internet addiction increase. On the other hand, it was determined that satisfaction in family relations has no significant effect on internet addiction. In light of research results, it can be organized activities that encourage peer relationships and face to face relationships. For parents of students, many studies about new technological devices and their postive and negative effects on adolescents and correct use of internet can be conducted.
