Bu yazıda ergenlik döneminin kendisine has özellikleri, büyümek, dönüşmek, cinselleşmek ve beden imgesinin ergen ruhsallığındaki dönüşümü psikanalitik kurama göre değerlendirilmektedir. Ergenlik döneminde ortaya çıkan obezitenin ise, gencin ruhsal yaşamını etkileyişinin yanı sıra, ruhsal organizasyonun hangi boyutlarıyla bağlantılı olduğu da incelenmektedir. Püberteyle ortaya çıkan bedensel değişimlerin ergeni zorlayışı ve dayatması karşısında patolojik bir çözüm olarak ortaya çıkan obezitenin, erken dönem annesel bağ ve aile dinamikleri ile olan ilişkisi üzerinde durulmaktadır. Aynı zamanda yeme bozukluklarının da ortaya çıkışı ve ergenliğin obezite için de diğer yeme bozukluklarında olduğu gibi genci kırılgan bir hale getirmesi, dünyada yapılan çalışmalar ve psikanalitik kuramın kavramları ışığında tartışılmaktadır.

In the present paper the specific features of the period of adolescence which are growth, transformation, sexualisation and the body image and itf effects on the adolescent are investigated within the psychoanalytical theory. The obesity that occurs during adolescence is studied as how it effects the youngster?s psychic life and also its links with the psychic apparatus. The difficulties of the puberty and its bodily changes and the force it exerts on the adolecent is discussed as well as the pathological solution of obesity, its link to the archaic maternal relationship and family Dynamics are evaluated. The emergence of the eating disorders during adolescence, and the fragility of the adolescent because of the bodily troubles are reviewed within the studies abroad with a psychoanalytical conceptualisation
