Bu çalışma Fransa ve Turkiye?yi içine alan, ergenlikte obezite ve aile dinamiklerini yordayan kültürlerarası bir çalışmadır. ?Obez aile? terimi çalışmanın merkezindedir ve bu terimin seçimi sorunsalın ailesel bulunmasıyla ilişkilidir. Narsisistik çatışmalar, oralite, boşluk ve ayrılık sorunsalları bu aileler için merkezi konumdadır. 12 ile 18 yaş arasındaki ergenler ve onların aileleri çalışmada yer almışlardır ve aile dinamikleri projektif testlerle incelenmistir. Rorschach ve TAT testleri sadece ergenlere, projektif soy-çizimi ve yaşam alanı testleri ise tüm aile bireylerine uygulanmıştır. Çalışmadan elde edilen sonuçlara göre gıda ve gıdanın obez ailedeki temsili kullanımı, aile üyelerinin içsel boşlukları doldurmasına ve varoluşsal eksikleri gidermesine hizmet etmektedir. Ebeveynin, çocuğun endişelerini kapsamadaki yetersizliği ise savunmacı bir tutuma dönüşmektedir. Bu ailelerde ve obez ergende düşlemleme ve sembolizasyon kapasitesindeki yetersizlikler ön plandadır. Çalışma sürmekte olduğundan kültüre farklılıklara dayanan daha kapsamlı bir tartışmaya araştırmanın bitiminde ulaşılabilecektir.

This is a study within the cultures, Turkey andFrance,covering the question of obesity in adolescence and family dynamics. The term ?obese family? is in the center of the study, and such a terminology is for accepting obesity as a family problem. The conflicts of narcissism, orality, emptiness and seperation issues are the central problems of these families. Adolescents between12 and 18 ages and their families are included in the study and family dynamics are evaluated according to projective tests.The Rorschach and TAT are applied to the adolescent, whereas the projective genography test and spatial test are applied to whole family. The results show that the food, its consumption in obese family aim to fill the internal gaps also to avoid the existential emptiness of family members. Parents? anxiety and inability to contain the affective states of their children seem to pertain to a defensive structure. These families do not have enough fantasmatization, nor symbolization together with their obese child. The study is continuing and more comprehensible discussion will be possible at the end, with the cultural differences.
