Frontotemporal Lobar Dejenerasyon, bütün klinik demans tanıları içinde en sık görülen üçüncü demans tipidir. Geriatrik Psikiyatri pratiğinde önemli bir yer tutmasının nedeni, klinik izlem boyunca bir çok afektif/psikotik bozukluk ile ayırıcı tanı gerektirmesidir. Bu yazıda ise, tanı ve tedavi konusunda klinisyene yardımcı olması amacıyla güncel yayınlardan yararlanılarak bir derleme oluşturulmuştur.

Frontotemporal Lobar Degeneration is the third most common dementia in all clinical diagnosis dementia syndromes. It holds a special part in clinical geriatric psychiatry due to coming into a differantial diagnosis with other affective/psychotic disorders during the clinical courses. In this article, a review was prepared for the clinicians who includes the diagnosis and treatment of FTLD with the up-to-date literature findings.
