Pek çok psikiyatrik hastalık genel tıbbi bir duruma veya ilaç kullanımına bağlı oluşabilir. Psikiyatrik belirtilere hangi organ sistemlerinin
belirtileri eşlik ediyor sorusunu yanıtlamak bizi daha sistematik bir şekilde altta yatan bedensel hastalığa yönelik araştırma yapmaya yöneltir.
Bu yazıda psikiyatrik hastalıklarda hematolojik değerlendirmeye odaklanacağız. İlk bölümünde, B12 vitamini, folik asit, homosistein, demir
eksikliği, eritrositler, beyaz küre ve trombositlerle ilişkili durumların hangi psikiyatrik belirti ve hastalıklara neden olabileceğinden; ikinci bö-
lümde ise psikiyatrik tedavide kullanılan ilaçlara bağlı oluşabilecek hematolojik yan etkilerden bahsedilecektir.
Hematological Evaluation in Psychiatry
Many of psychiatric disorders may occur due to medical diseases or drug use. In this paper we will focus on hematological evaluation
in psychiatric disorders. To answer the question of which organ systems are associated to present psychiatric symptoms will guide us to
investigate the right medical disease underlying the psychiatric symptoms. In the first section we will discuss the psychiatric presentations of
vitamin B12 and folate deficiency, hyperhomosisteinemia, iron deficiency, and diseases of hematopoietic system. In the second part we will
discuss the hematological side effects of psychotrops
