Kısa Zekâ Testleri ve Kaufman Kısa Zekâ Testi (KBIT-2)

Kısa zekâ testleri, kişilerin bazı girişimsel programlara gereksinim duyup duymadıklarını sınamak için bir tarama aracı olarak düzenlenmiştir. Zihinsel işlevin kısa ölçümü kapsamlı değerlendirmelere daha kısa ve daha az masraflı bir seçenek sunmaktadır. Kısa zekâ testleri iki ana kaynaktan gelmektedir: Geniş kapsamlı testlerin kısaltılmış biçimi ve zekânın çabuk ölçümü için öznel olarak geliştirilmiş biçimi. Alanyazında zekâ değerlendirilmesinde iki önemli başış açısı görülmektedir: (1) kısa değerlendirme daha insancıldır, kolaydır ve yeterlidir. (2) zekâ, yapısı ve karmaşıklığı nedeniyle daha kapsamlı değerlendirilmeyi hak etmektedir. Uzmanlar, sıklıkla kısa zekâ testini çocuğun bilişsel olarak risk altında olup olmadığını sınamak amacıyla ilk adım olarak kullanırlar. Kaufman Kısa Zekâ Testi (KBIT-2), en iyi bilinen kısa bilişsel değerlendirme aracıdır. Milli Eğitim Bakanlığı adına KBIT-2 ve Wechsler Sözel Olmayan Test WNV Türkçe sürümü için standardize edilmiş ve normlar oluşturulmuştur. Genel olarak sonuçlar KBIT-2 ve WNV?nin Türkçe Sürümlerinin güvenilir ve geçerli bir test olduğunu göstermektedir.
Brief Intelligence Tests and Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test
Brief intelligence tests are designed as screening measures, to determine who whould need intervention programs. Brief measures of intellectual functioning may represent a shorter and more cost-efficient alternative to comprehensive assessment. Brief intelligence testing comes from two main courses: Abbreviated versions of wide-ranging tests and developed specifically to provide quick measures of intelligence. In literature, two important approaches were seen in respect to intelligence assesment: (1) in which brief assessments are more humane, practical, and sufficient (2) in which complexity and importance of the intelligence construct deserves more comprehensive assessment. Experts often administer brief intelligence tests as the first step in the identification of persons who are cognitively weather or not at risk. Kaufman Brief Intelligence Test-Second Edition (KBIT-2) is the most well known brief cognitive assessment instrument. On behalf of MONE, KBIT and WNV Tests are standardized in the Turkish population and prepared Turkish norms. Generally, the results showed that The Turkish Version of KBIT-2 and WNV are valid and reliable tests for Turkish version.
