Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, çok ve değişen tanılar almış psikiyatrik hastalarla, tek tanıyla izlenen hastaları dissosiyatif semptomlar ve dissosiyatif bozukluklar yönünden karşılaştırmaktır. Yöntem: Elli tek tanılı ve 100 çok tanılı hasta çalışmaya alındı. Hastaların hepsi kliniğimizde en az iki yıldır izlenmekteydi. Tümüne dissosiyatif yaşantılar ölçeği (DYÖ) uygulandı. DYÖ skoru 20 ve üzerinde olanlarla DSM-IV dissosiyatif bozukluklar için yapılandırılmış klinik görüşme (YKG-D) çizelgesine göre görüşme yapıldı. Sonuçlar: Çok tanılı grupta ortalama DYÖ skorları tek tanılı gruba göre önemli derecede yüksekti. Çok tanılı hastaların % 21'inde , tek tanılı olanların ise % 10'unda YKG-D'ye göre bir dissosiyatif bozukluk tanısı kondu. Tartışma: Bu çalışmanın sonuçları, özellikle değişen tanılar alan psikiyatrik hastalarda dissosiyatif bozukluk tanısının da göz önünde tutulması gerektiğini düşündürmektedir.

Objective: The aim of this study was to compare the patients who have received multiple diagnoses with those who have received single diagnosis, in respect of having dissociative symptoms and disorders. Method: Single-diagnosed (n=50) and multi-diagnosed (n=100) patients who have followed in our clinic for at least two [year]s, were included to the study. The Dissociative Experiences Scale (DES) was administered to all patients, then the Structured Clinical Interview for DSM-IV Dissociative Disorders (SCID-D) was administered to the patients whose mean DES scores was of 20 or more. Results: The mean DES scores were higher in multi-diagnosed group than in single-diagnosed one. Twenty one percent of the multi-diagnosed patients and ten percent of the single-diagnosed patients were diagnosed as having a dissociative disorder according to the SCID-D. Discussion: Results of this study suggest that dissociative disorders should be considered in patients who have received changing psychiatric diagnoses.
