Wisconsin Kart Eşleme Testi ve Stroop Testi TBAG Formu: Ölçülen özellikler açısından karşılaştırmalı analiz

Amaç: Çalışmada, nöropsikoloji literatürü ve uygulamalarında sıklıkla kullanılan ve ülkemiz kültürüne standardizasyonu yapılmış olan (Karakaş ve Başar, 1993; Karakaş, Eski ve Başar, 1996) Wisconsin Kart Eşleme Testi (WCST) ve Stroop Testi TBAG Formuna ilişkin puanların ayrıntılı analizini yapmak, testlerin ölçtüğü özellikleri belirlemek ve bu özellikler temelinde testleri karşılaştırmak amaçlanmıştır. Yöntem: Araştırmada kullanılan WCST ve Stroop Testi TBAG Formuna ilişkin veriler, 18 - 66 (33.9 ± 14.4) yaş aralığında olup en az 12 yıl eğitim görmüş olan, her iki cinsiyetten 69 gönüllü denekten elde edilmiştir. Nörolojik veya psikiyatrik rahatsızlık bildiren ve bilişsel faaliyetleri etkileyen ilaç kullanan denekler araştırmaya dahil edilmemiştir. Testler deneklere eğitilmiş testörler tarafından uygulanmıştır. Farklı oturumlarda uygulanan testlerin sırası, dengeleme yöntemi uyarınca belirlenmiştir. Bulgular: WCST ve Stroop Testi TBAG Formundan elde edilen puanlar Pearson momentler çarpımı korelasyon tekniği, temel bileşenler analizi ve doğrulayıcı faktör analizi kullanılarak analiz edilmiştir. Bulgular, WCST ve Stroop Testi TBAG Formunun farklı özellikleri ölçtüğü yolunda olmuştur. WCST'nin ölçtüğü özellikler iki ana grupta toplanmış, ilgili faktörlerperseveratif eğilim ve kavramsallaştırma/ irdeleme olarak adlandırılmıştır. Stroop Testi TBAG Formu puanları da yine iki grup altında toplanmış ve ilgili faktörler bozucu etki ve dikkat olarak adlandırılmıştır. Tartışma: WCST ve Stroop Testi TBAG Formunun ayrı özellikleri ölçtüğüne ilişkin bulgu, söz konusu iki testin, sırasıyla dorsolateral prefrontal korteks ile orbitofrontal korteksi içeren döngülerin işlevselliğiyle ilgili olduğu yolundaki bulgular temelinde tartışılmıştır.
Wisconsin Card Sorting Test and Stroop Test TBAG Version: Comparative analysis of the measured properties
Objective: The present study was on two neuropsychological tests that had previously been standardised to the Turkish culture (Karakas and Basar, 1993; Karakas, Eski and Basar, 1996) Wisconsin Card Sorting Test (WCST) and Stroop Test TBAG Version. The goal of the study was to make a detailed analysis of the test scores, to determine what the test scores measure and to compare the tests on the basis of the respective properties. Method: Subjects were from the 18 - 66 age range (33.9 ± 14.4) and had a minimum education of 12 years. Individuals with reported neurological or psychological disorders were not included in the sample. Likewise, individuals who had been using drugs that affect cognitive processes or who had quit taking such drugs were not included in the sample. The tests were administered to the subjects by trained testors. Each test was administered in a separate session and in a counterbalanced order. Results: WCST and the Stroop TBAG scores were analysed using Pearson product moment correlation technique, principal components analysis and confirmatory factor analysis. According to the results, WCST and Stroop Test TBAG Version scores represent different properties. Both the WCST and the Stroop TBAG scores were each distributed to two groups. Those of the WCST were labelled as perseverative tendency and conceptualisation / reasoning; those for the Stroop TBAG scores were labelled as interference and attention. Conclusion: The findings are in line with findings where WCST performance was found to be related to the functionality of the circuit that involve the dorsolateral prefrontal cortex and the Stroop Test performance to the functionality of the circuit that involve the orbitofrontal cortex.
