Bu makalede ilaç tedavisine dirençli epileptik hastaların tedavisinde uygulanan cerrahi girişimi yönlendirmede nöropsikolojik değerlendirmenin katkıları, değerlendirmede sıklıkla kullanılan testler ilgili literatür kapsamında ele alınmıştır. Ülkemizde son yıllarda birçok merkezde epilepsi cerrahisi uygulamalarının yaygınlaştığı görülmektedir. Bu nedenle, epilepsi cerrahisi adaylarında uygulanacak standart bir nöropsikolojik test bataryası oluşturmanın önemi gittikçe artmaktadır. Bu gereksinimden yola çıkılarak yetişkin epilepsi cerrahisi adaylarının değerlendirmesinde kullanılabilecek, standardizasyon ve ön uyarlama çalışmaları tamamlanmış ya da yalnızca dilimize çevirisi yapılmış ve klinik uygulamalarda yaygın olarak kullanılan testlerden oluşturulan bir nöropsikolojik test bataryası önerilmiştir.

In this review, we assessed the value of neuropsychological assessment based on freguently used tests that would guide the physcian for surgical intervention if appropriate for the epileptic patients who are interactable to medical theraphy. Epileptic surgery is becoming available in a lot of centers in our country in recent years. So it is becoming more important for a standart neuropsychological test battery avaiable for evaluation of the candidates of surgery. For this purpose, a test battery composed of frequently used neuropsychological tests which had been standartized, preapplicated or may only had been translated to our language were gathered and offered for the evaluation of adult epileptic patients, if they were possible canditates for surgery.
