Amaç: Araştırmanın amacı sağlık alanında çalışanlarda işle ilgili stresi değerlendirmek amacıyla geliştirilmiş olan “İşe Bağlı Gerginlik Ölçeği "nin bir hemşire örnekleminde geçerlik ve güvenirliğini araştırmaktır. Yöntem: Ç.Ö.T.F. Hastanesi ’nde çalışan 205 hemşireye İşe Bağlı Gerginlik Ölçeği (İBGÖ), Maslach Tükenmişlik Ölçeği (MTÖ), İş Doyumu Ölçeği (İDÖ), Kısa Semptom Envanteri (KSE) ve Sürekli Öfke (SL-ÖF)-Öfke İfadesi Tarzı Ölçekleri uygulanmıştır. Bulgular: Cronbach alfa katsayısı 0.75; 15. madde çıkarıldıktan sonra 1. uygulamada 0.68, II. uygulamada 0.78’dir. Ölçeğin MTÖ, İDÖ, SL-ÖF ve KSE alt ölçekleri ile anlamlı korelasyonları belirlenmiştir. Tartışma: Bu kısa ve kolay uygulanabilen, geçerli ve güvenilir bulunan ölçeğin hemşirelerde işe bağlı gerginliği değerlendirmede kullanılabileceği düşünülmektedir.

Objective: The aim of the study was to investigate the reliability and validity of the “Work-Related Strain Inventory” in a sample of nurses developed to measure perceived strain associated with work of health professionals. Method: The Work-Related Strain Inventory (WRSI), Maslach Burnout Inventory (MBI), The Work Satisfaction Questionnaire (WSQ), The Brief Symptom Inventory (BSI), Trait Anger (T-Anger) and Anger Expression Scales were given to 205 nurses who worked at the Ç.Ü.T.F. Results: The Cronbach alpha coefficient of the first test was 0.63 and of the retest was 0.75 with the item 15; the Cronbach alpha of the first test was 0.68 and of the retest was 0.78 without the item 15. The scores of the WRSI were correlated significantly with MBI, WSQ, T-Anger and subscales of BSI. Conclusion: This inventory, a short, easily administered measure with good reliability may be useful for appraising levels of work-related strain in nurses.
