Amaç: Bu çalışmanın amacı, kız ve erkek üniversite öğrencilerinin aile içi etkileşime ilişkin algıları ile toplumsal cinsiyet rolüne ilişkin tutumları arasında bir ilişki olup olmadığını belirlemektir. Y öntem : Veriler, Hacettepe üniversitesinin çeşitli bölümlerine devam eden her iki cinsiyetten, yaşları 18-24 arasında değişen, toplam 194 öğrenciden elde edilmiştir. Araştırmada gençlere uyarlanan Kök Aile Ölçeği ile cinsiyet rolüne ilişkin tutumları ölçen Aile Ölçeği kullanılmıştır. Bulgular: Kızların, ailede duygusal yakınlık ve kaybı kabule ilişkin algılarının erkeklere göre daha olumlu yönde olduğu, yine kızların toplumsal cinsiyete ilişkin tutumlarının erkeklere göre daha eşitlikçi yönde olduğu tesbit edilmiştir. Ancak kızların aile algısı ile cinsiyet rolü tutumları arasında anlamlı bir ilişki bulunmazken, erkeklerin cinsiyet rolüne ilişkin tutumlarının, ailedeki duygusal dayanışma ve özduyuş algısından yordanabildiği tesbit edilmiştir. Tartışma: Bulgular, ilgili kaynaklara dayanılarak tartışılmıştır.

Objective: The aim of the study was to capture the relationship between certain dimensions of family perception and the gender attitudes in relation to family functions. Method: Data was collected from subjects attending to the various departments of Hacettepe University. Family of Origin Scale and the Family Scale measuring the gender attitudes were given to a total of 194 students aged between 18-24. Results: Girls' perception of emotional support, empathy and acceptance of loss in the family was higher than that of boys'. However, no relationship was found between family perception and gender attitudes related to family functions. On the other hand, there was a significant relationship between boys' perception of emotional support, empathy and gender roles. Discussion: The results of the study were discussed in reference to related research.
