Amaç: Bu çalışmada DSM III-R tanı ölçütlerine göre enürezis tanısı alan çocuklarda nedene yönelik biyopsikososyal etkenler araştırılmıştır. Yöntem: Çalışma grubu 1993 Aralık ve 1994 Mayıs ayları arasında Ç.Ü.T.F. Çocuk Psikiyatrisi Bilim Dalma başvuran, DSM III-R tanı ölçütlerine göre enürezis tanısı alan, 52 çocuktan, karşılaştırma grubu ise yaş, cins ve eğitim açısından aynı özellikleri taşıyan ve enüretik olmayan 29 çocuktan oluşmuştur. Bulgular ve Tartışma: Çalışma ve kontrol grupları arasında istatistiksel olarak anlamlı ilişki bulunan değişkenler şunlardır: Sosyodemografik veriler: Gebelikte ve çocukların doğumunda ortaya çıkan sorunlar, yürümeye, konuşmaya ve tuvalet eğitimine başlama yaşı, geçirilen hastalık, konvülsiyon, travma öyküsü, annelerin eğitim düzeyi, anne ve baba işleri. Ruhsal bakı: Konuşma bozukluğu, uyku bozukluğu, depreşip bulgular ve anksiyete, okul başarısızlığı, Aile Değerlendirme Ölçeğinde; iletişim, roller, duygusal tepki verebilme, genel işlevler, Obsessif Kompulsif Soru Listesinde; kontrol etme, temizlik, yavaşlık, kuşku, toplam obsesyon puanı açısından her iki grup arasındaki fark anlamlı bulunmuştur. Olguların %75 inde Bender Geştalt Testinde hata puanı yüksekliği, %34 ünde EEG bozukluğu, %44.2 sinde spina bifida belirlenmiştir. Birincil enüretiklerin zeka bölümü, ikincil enüretiklerden istatistiksel açıdan anlamlı biçimde daha düşük olarak belirlenmiştir.

Objective: Biopsychosocial factors affecting thme causes of enürezis in children are avaluated. Method: Daignosis based on DSM 111/R. The study group consists of 52 children diagunised as enuretic following DSM III/R criteria, among those who attended to child psychiatry department of Çukurova University Medical Faculty in december 1993-may 1994, whereas the control group consists of 29 children with the same qualities in terms of age, sex and education but nonenüretic. Results and Conclusions: Variables found statistically meaningfv.il, between the study and the control groups are as follows. Sociodemographic data: "Problems appearing during pregnancy and at birth, speaking age, toilet training, illness convulsion and travma history, educational level of mothers, occupation of parents"; Psychiatric evaluation: "Speech disorders, sleep disorders, dépressif symptoms, anxiety, school failure"; In McMaster Family Assesment Device "communication, roles, affective responsiveness, general functions"; In Maudsley Obsessional-Compulsive Questionnaire; chehing washing, slowness, doubting and total point of obsession. In 75% of these cases an increase in error scores in Bender Gestalt Test, in 34% EEG disorders, in 44.2% spina bifida have been identified. The IQ's of the primary enuretics have been determined as considerably lower then IQ's of the secondary enuretics statistically.
