Bu çalışmada projektif testlerin klinik psikopatolojilerin anlaşılmasında kişiliğe bir bütün olarak baktığından hareketle, yarı yapılandırılmış bir test olan Rorschach testinin bir ölçüm aracı olarak adli psikiyatride kullanımından söz edilmektedir. Rorschach testi kişinin hem gerçeklik ilkesine uyumlu olarak yaşayıp yaşamadığını hem de düşlem ve zihnileştirme kapasitelerinin nasıl yapılandığı hakkında bilgi vermektedir. Suçluluk ve psikopatolojilerin birebir eşleşmesinin beklenmemesi gerçeğinden hareketle, projektif testlerin psikolog ile hukuk arasında kurulan bağdaki önemi gösterilmektedir. Test uygulayıcıları ile suçlu kişilerin aktarım ilişkileri öncelikle bizi suçluluğa ait bir özel söylem olup olmadığı sorunsalını düşünmeye itmektedir. Avrupa ve Amerika'da projektif testlerin yardımıyla suçlu kişilerin psikodinamiklerini belirlemeye yönelik çalışmalarda çeşitli alanlarda suç işleyenlerin sınır kişilik veya psikotik kişilik örgütlenmelerine ait olabileceği üzerinde durulmaktadır. Hayatın her anında gerçekleştirilebilecek olan bu eyleme geçişin süreç olarak nasıl oluştuğu veya anlam kazandığı ise yine bu testlerin yardımıyla olmaktadır. Herhangi bir kişilik yapılanmasının daha ön planda olduğu sonucunu çıkarmadan, projektif testlerin adli psikiyatride kişiye ait öznel süreçleri derinlemesine aktaracağına inanılmaktadır.

In this study it is believed that to comprehend clinical psychopathology, projective tests have a uniform vision of understanding personality. A semi-structured test like Rorschach is widely used as a means of measurement in forensic psychiatry. Rorschach test gives information about individual's mentalization and phantasy capacities as well as their adaptation to reality principle. Taking into consideration the fact that, delinquency and psychopathology do not match compeletely, projective tests show the significance of the link between psychology and law. The transference relation between the testor and the delinquent makes us think if there exists a special discourse of these patients. In Europe and U.S.A, with the help of projective tests, the researchers have emphasized that delinquent people have borderline or psychotic personality organisations. The reason for ‘acting out' has been searched with these tests. ‘Acting out' can be realised at any moment of an individual's life. The procedure and significance of ‘acting out' can be discovered by the help of these tests. Without having a rigid idea that certain personality characteristics can be in the foreground, it is believed that projective tests reveal specified subjective processes in forensic psychiatry
