Bu çalışma, Koppitz tarafından (1977) öğrenme bozukluklarına tanı koyma amacı ile geliştirilmiş olan Görsel İşitsel Sayı Dizisi Testinin (GİSD) Türk çocuklarında, kullanılabilirliğini sınamayı amaçlamaktadır. Çalışmanın verileri 372 ilkokul çocuğundan elde edilmiştir. Güvenirlik İçin test-tekrar test yöntemi kullanılmış ve elde edilen tüm korelasyonlar 0.01 düzeyinde anlamlı bulunmuştur. Geçerlik, kurultu geçerliği yöntemi ile hesaplanmış ve GİSD Testi puanları ile WISC-R'ın Aritmetik, Sayı Dizisi, Şifre Alt Testleri, Benton Görsel Bellek Testi ve D2 Dikkat Testi puanlan arasındaki korelasyonlar 0.01 düzeyinde anlamlı bulunmuştur. Her yaş düzeyinde, GİSD Testinden elde edilen 11 puanın her biri için yaş düzeyi ve cinsiyet üzerinden 2x7 faktörlü varyans analizleri hesaplanmıştır. Yaş düzeyinin temel etkisinin GİSD'den elde edilen tüm puanlarda anlamlı düzeyde olduğu bulunmuş buna karşın cinsiyet farklılık yaratmamıştır. Bu çalışmanın sonuçlan bize 6-12 yaş arasındaki çocuklar için normlar elde etme olanağı vermiştir.

This study was designed to test the applicability of the Aural Digit Span Test (VADS) in Turkish children which was developed by Koppitz (1977) as an assessment tool to diagnose learning disabilities.The data of this study were obtained from 372 primary scbool children. The reliability coefficients were obtained by the test-retest metbod and all correlations were statistically significant at 0.01 level. The validity coefficients were determined by the construct validity metbod and correlations which were computed between VADS Test scares and W1SC-R' Aritmethic, Digit Span, and Coding subtests, Benton Visual Retention Test, and D2 Attention Test scores were statistically significant at the OM level. Two Way Analysis of Variance was computed for all age levels and sex (2x7). Significant diferences were found for all age levels but no significant difference was found for sex, The results of this study have given us the opportunity to obtain norms for children in the 6-12 year age range.
