Çocuk ve ergen ruh sağlığı, toplumun sağlığı ve geleceği açısından hayati öneme sahiptir. Ancak mevcut veriler çocuk ve ergen ruh sağlığının ihmal edildiğini düşündürmektedir. Türkiye'de bu konuda yapılmış geniş kapsamlı ve daha fazla epidemiyolojik çalışmalara, etkin ve yaygın hizmet sunumuna ve hizmeti sunacak nitelikli personele gereksinim bulunmaktadır. Toplumun gereksindiği hizmetin organizasyonu, sunumu ve insan gücü gereksiniminin karşılanması için Ulusal Ruh Sağlığı Profili, Ulusal Ruh Sağlığı Politika metni ve Psikiyatrik Hizmetlerin değerlendirildiği raporlar başlama noktası olarak kullanılabilir. Bu yazının amacı, Türkiye'de çocuk ve ergen ruh sağlığı epidemiyolojisi, hizmet sunumu ve hemşirelik konularında kısa bir durum değerlendirmesi yapmaktır.

Child and adolescent mental health is critically important for future and health of community. However the mental health needs of children and adolescents are seem to be neglected. In Turkey, there is a need for comprehensive and additional epidemiologic studies, effective and country-wide mental health services and quailified mental health professionals. Provision of mental health services to community that needed, organising and delivering the mental health services and human resources, National Profile of Mental Health, National Mental Health Policy and reports on the Evaluation of Mental Health Services of Turkey should be used for the starting point . The aims of this article are to briefly discuss the current epidemiologic studies, mental health services which delivered and nursing in child and adolescent psychiatric mental health in Turkey.
